There just as good as the E Street band in my opinion... Only one thing missing that woulda probably made them better then E Street was Big man... RIP.. :)
Bruce Springsteen along with Eric Clapton and Aerosmith are my favorites and this is my favorite song from the Boss. Unfortunately this song could also be sung for my Orioles. But thats a different story.
Because he wanted. He wanted a change and play with other people. He also surprisingly gave each ESB member royalties from his albumbs when he announced going to tour with the other band.
Damn it! The date I born is May 16, 1993, just a month later, otherwise I can tell people that Bruce played the most Awesome song in the world in a legendary concert on the day I born!
I'm a huge fan of the E-Street Band, but this was way epic. I wish they would play kinda that simple nowadays. But no offense, the E Street Band kicks ASS all the time too.
grazie a mamma adele grazie a dio che esiste thebigbosssolo e unicoooooo bruceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeespringsteen
The show just seems like it has no creative element. The E Street Band concerts are the best because they are improv and the people keep playing and bring new things to the stage purely because they love being creative and being artists.
@supermario103 I think Roy's style is unmistakable. There's been times I've heard piano on a record and thought "that really sounds like Roy Bittan"...take a look at the album credits and lo and behold...
dont call me stupid or anythin cos im not much of a musician. but how does he get the sound from his guitar to an amp when thres no cable connecting the 2?
He has a wireless transmitter. One main receiver plugged into his amp and a mini receiver in a pouch plugged into his guitar wrapped on his guitar strap
Some of the music from these 2 albums wasn't that bad. When I was at the shows I thought they were great, but looking back and having seen the E Street Band so many times... What was he thinking???
i think Bruce was unfairly critisized for touring with this band in the early nineties. of course, they were never going to come close to the ESB, but that doesn't mean they were a poor working unit. The MTV plugged show is brilliant. i hope he manages to stick a few human touch/lucky town era songs into the magic tour setlists as time unfolds. I would love to hear him play ' i wish i were blind' with the ESB.
can't compare this band with ESB my dear. seems u have never been to a concert with the ESB.....try to get vids when they rocked MSQ or giant stadium ;))
I agree the E Street Band does a better version, yet it still rocks. In fact, I dare say that the "Other Band" has been unfairly criticized because we're so used to seeing Bruce with the ESB that we cannot imagine Bruce being able to "rock" without them. And yet, in my opinion, Bruce rocks with or without the ESB. This video prooves it.
I was there. Being early April, playing in a stadium wasn't the smartest idea : it was half empty. Bruce had had a flue the previous days but that night he rocked.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I guess he was thinking the same thought as he is thinking these days.
I think he should fire his producer - Brendan O'Brian, you're talented but you don't do any good to Springsteen's music.
Springsteen need his songs to sound raw and fresh just like in the old days.
'Part man, part monkey' anyone?
