Seen it, considered it, was tempted, but really, that tax cuts-only philosphy failed and I haven't yet seen Schiff or any of the other Ron Paul acolytes grapple with the Krugman philosophy. It makes a certain amount of sense to say that the stimulus spending will lead to inflation etc. but what about the possibility that it will actually stimulate the economy? No one talks about that. If it fosters growth, especially in areas like alt. energy, then...?

This is bullshit. The amount of money the US has spent on this crisis is enough to have bought every single mortgage in the US---no joke, look it up, $9.7 trillion is about 90% of all the home mortgages in the US.

But all this spending hasn't solved the crisis. This isn't just something you can "throw money at"; systematic change is needed. But no government ever wants to challenge the status quo....
