  • I appreciate he's good, but maybe beeing so good is not healthy for a boy in that age, because it seems that he became very arrogant as leaving the table is very unpolite

  • @DammalSC he's 21 now, this is an old match, just the exuberance of youth i spose

  • @DammalSC I do the same. My mind wanders when my opponent is taking a while to move. That is only when i have thought of all the different moves. Carlsen is only looking at the other tables to see what they are doing and self reflecting on their games as well as his.

  • @DammalSC It is not rude to leave the table. Many chess players do that during games as some of these games last for more than 3 hours.

  • Leaving the table? WTF? arrogant kid!

  • No decent chess player will get crushed by a top player "just like that". You'll most likely lose, yes, but it doesn't necessarily have to an easy game for the stronger player. If you can hold against a strong computer engine then you'll hold against any top player out there guaranteed.

  • yes but you forget Kasparov won the another game :)

  • Also worth watching is /watch?v=WjEmquJhSas

  • hey does anyone know where i can buy a chess set like the one they'er using?

  • @jus4u house of staunton

  • @bigresonance thanks alot, your a generous soul!

  • its funny when he leaves the table lol

  • schach-brett.de

  • he looks like anakin skywalker

  • Is this real?

  • @thekobe157 Yup, google Magnus Carlsen, pretty hardcore player ;)

  • It takes more than just plain talent to surpass the likes of Fischer and Kasparov. Carlsen isn't decimating his opponents as Fischer did in his teens and early twenties. All Carlsen has managed to do is to bloat up his elo rating. Where's the Fischer-like domination? Wait for another 4 years?

  • @YtubeUserr The GMs in Fischer's day weren't all on his level. The set is a lot different now because the top 10 are actually fairly evenly matched. It's no different than Morphy. Morphy was crushing everyone but it wasn't really an equal playing field during his time either.

  • @GreasemonkeyCGI Dude, the requirement of an all-time great player is that he must be significantly stronger than his contemporaries. The super-GMs of today will beat Morphy, but, to play at Morphy's strength in the 19th century IS A BIG DEAL!! Same goes for Fischer. Fischer's era had Botvinnik, Petrosian, Tal, Spassky, Smyslov, Euwe to name a few. Fischer was still DOMINANT!!! If Carlsen is to be called great he needs to dominate his contemporaries which hasn't happened yet.

  • @YtubeUserr Yes it has .. O.o

  • I believe that game ended a draw if it's a rapid game played in 2004

  • @Yodovannn Yes.

  • Ahahaha, awww cute magnus with his orange juice against big ol' Kasparov.

  • Carlsen stands up while Kasparov suffers to come up with a reply until he finds it and hits the clock. Carlsen's antenna detects that a move has been made and he calmly sits back down while immediately making a move himself, as if he knew exactly what Kasparov was going to reply and had his own answer ready!!

  • @skepticlogician He's simply out-kasparoving Kasparov

  • @saintsaens21 I like it, out-kasparoving Kasparov :)

  • He stops the Video because Kasparov is watching the camera at the end!

  • wtf the game just was starting

  • LOL... with all respect for the great Kasparov this makes me laugh a lot...what a boy!! qhat it is funny is to see Carlsen so confident and quiet like playing for fun only and doing wery well.

  • I'd laugh if the kid beat Kasparov

  • @JosephZ258 The kid... Is the number 1 in chess right now and the biggest prodigy chess has ever known

  • @UnderDog988 No, Kasparov is the biggest prodigy the world has ever known but Magnus is getting there.

  • @IndrasBlade77 You have no idea was prodigy is.... It someone who accomplished greatness at early stages of there career. If you compare magnus to kasparov at the early stages. Magnus has accomplished alot more.

Now wat you probably meant to saying is that kasparov is greatest chess player ever known but magnus is on the road to surpass him.

  • tmr esa musiquita no es la que se usa para cuando se enfrentan kasparov con karpov?

  • la chinga su madre que fue eso!

  • Wow, Magnus was a pretty cute little kid.

  • Did they give the kid get a break for milk and cookies?

I hope he told his mother where he was going.

  • too badass

  • is funny that this video shows the 24 seconds you would think kasparov is having problems but in the end kasparov dominated carlsen. after all he is his master.

  • @Alain26m Kasparov is the master yes, maybe thats why he had to play for a draw against a 12 year old in the first game. Master or no master - Carlsen gave him quite a shock, and he admitted it in later interviews.

  • this has got to be the scariest thing about chess to those established as top of the crowd.

  • Kasparov is awesome.

  • i love kasparov's expresion they're really are expressive (although that sounds weird i believe many peoples expressions are not so expressive by the way the can be misinterpreted)

  • Kasparov thinking to himself: "I can't believe I'm not just mopping the floor w/ this little squirt."

  • @bailinnumberguy Dude, look at the board... even an 8 year old could memorize how to get to the Cambridge springs variation... though, at the later stages of the game, Kasparov clearly must have felt some discomfort, as he was worse during most of the game.

  • pwn that no0b

  • The problem with Magnus Carlsen is he is not nearly consistent enough. The pressure is already getting to him as he's been talked about constantly to inherit the crown. He will be a top player in the world as long as he keeps playing, but he will not match the absolute greats.

  • nice by Carlson the best chessplayer after Garry Kasparov

  • @Rendemast What about Anand :)?

  • music name ?

  • we all need to watch the rest of this video !!!

  • WHAO UN VERDADERO NIÑO PRODIGIO SI SE LO PROPONE MAGNUS CARLSEN PODRA ESTAR ENTRE LOS 10 MEJORES DE TODA LA HISTORIA

  • i cant believe here magnus is a little child and he has garry pullin his hair out lol and magnus even turns away like a kid distracted by candy...a little baby and already a IM

  • @scatterblast123 GM :P

  • i gotta see the rest of this video.

  • this lil boy walked away from the board in a match with Kasparov? LOL

  • @damthatriver09 this lil boy is magnus carlsen lol

  • @damthatriver09 He had to tell his mom that he'd be home 5 minutes later, because Kasparov wouldn't give up.

  • What is the name or title of this music?

  • @Ericbryanmr

Annoying Song Clearly Composed Just For This Video.

  • @Analist You're saying that Carlsen didn't want to beat Kasparov? You are totally out of your fucking mind. Carlsen couldn't beat Kasparov even now, he has a minus score against Anand with the white pieces, he's shitty compared to Kasparov, struggling to stay number 1 while for Kasparov it was easy.

  • @ILikeGirlsWthBigEyes Yes but Magnus is still in the beginning of his chess career. So it is not fair to compare him with Kasparov. Do so after 20 or so years!

  • @ILikeGirlsWthBigEyes

Kasparov didn't hit his prime until his 30's. He struggled against Karpov when he was in his very early 20's also. Magnus isn't even 21 yet.

  • You said it was the "SAME FORMAT AS WITH CARLSEN". That is NOT the TRUTH. In the game against Kasparov the world made their moves by "PLURALITY VOTE" in the game against Carlsen it was not so.

kindly regards from Karlsruhe , Germany

    Lutz Neweklowsky

  • Wow !Magnus is strong enough to draw a game with his former coach.

  • @Penguincw2 This was actuallyy a draw, when magnus was 13 (2004) and almost all top Gm's can beat there coaches

  • @adhdboy699 Oh.Thanks for the info though.

  • @Moremover While I agree with your point that he was essentially playing 3 GMs with conflicting opinions on moves, your assertion that the "world" is better simply because they have Rybkas is just plain retarded.

That's like saying Usain Bolt isn't the fastest man in the world because the world has cars that go faster.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD Kasparov played against the world ( WITH their computers )

but Carlsen didnt do so, because he is only a bad looser. Have a look at youtube.com

under searching with : KOSTENIUK BEATS CARLSEN

    youtube.com/watch?v=WeyXKTVYenA

    kindly regards from Karlsruhe, Germany

    Lutz Neweklowsky

  • @Moremover What are you smoking? Kasparov played a panel of 4 professionals who suggested moves the rest of the world had to vote on - SAME FORMAT AS WITH CARLSEN.

The world could have been using computers to find the best move; why not? And the computers in 2010 are MANY times stronger than computers in 1999 (when Kasparov played). So your logic makes no sense whatsoever.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD What are you referring to? Carlsen or Kasparov vs. World. They were different times and different levels of Computing tech. Also note that a consensus vote means little, i.e. a minmax from Rybka is a very strong suggestion in the best position at 10-20 ply. If the World votes for the '2nd' best option what use is Rybka? If you had Kasparov as the evaluation function no doubt you would have the best of both worlds.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD I'm confident that Carlsen can beat Rybka anyway. I can draw with it and i'm only rated 2170 FIDE.

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover is that where you make it move almost instantly?

  • @Toxie207 Nope, let it move in it's own time.

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover its impossible to make draw with Rybka and your rating to be 2170... mabey your computer that you put Rybka to play has very weak processor Rybka will beat Carlsen nobody can beat the best computer brain in chess with this technology!!

  • @christoschar1988 Actually, it's an quad core processor. Computers are easy enough to beat if you know how to. I still stand by my original statement, Carlsen could beat Rybka.

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover You Mean in one single game? or in a 10 games match for example because I also believe that Carlsen can beat Rybka in one single match some times but in 6 match games I dont think that Carlsen will had a chance to win...no doubt about that!!!

  • @christoschar1988 I think he would have strong chances in a match of 5 or more games. That's just my opinion though. Granted Houdini is rated somewhere around 3300 and Carlsen "Only" 2823, but take into account the fact that Carlsen is only 20! It's extraordinary that somebody so young can have the second and third highest ratings ever! Alas, ratings are not everything. If I can draw reasonably often against it, a player with a rating like Carlsen's could beat it.

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover Didn't the Rybka team offered any human player a 100,000 dollar challenge that their program could not be beaten by a GM ? Haven't heard of anyone taking Rybka up on it though, Carlsen included. It'd be good to see him play it though, haven't had a super GM v super computer match for years. .

  • @delboy723 I believe they did offer a challenge like that. It would be great to see, although since Rybka was banned I'm not sure it would ever happen.

  • These clips are mixed up. It's not only not the same scene, they're not even in chronological order.

  • thanks. more?
