@kerryincolumbus i kinda like it,but i do agree with you that it is over the top a bit. Keep in mind tho opera singers are use to singing intense over the top songs

this version is MUCH too far over the top... the Christine Ebersole version is MUCH lighter and bouncy. the only thing great about this is that all 3 are on the same stage.. which is hard to believe because Marilyn Horne usually hates to share the stage with ANYONE

LOVE this -- three great singers and good friends having some fun! This is from 1997, when these three had performed in operas together in various combinations. Renee, in her book "The Inner Voice," specifically mentions Jackie (Horne) and Flicka (von Stade) as being especially generous mentors and friends to her. Thanks for posting -- this is better in technical quality than clips posted years ago.
