The 2008 Turok game was awful and a real kick in the teeth for the fans. I'll never forgive Propaganda Games for making Turok a space marine, I almost puked when I saw that.

You shouldn't get the newer 2008 Turok because it has no connection to the original series and the only reason it's called Turok is because of the main character's name!
The "new" Turok is no better than Evolution, in fact, Evolution was closer to the meaning of "Turok" than Rambo: Ballad on Space will ever be, and we all know Evolution sucked big time.

This song was my favorate out of all the turok soundtrack! My only beef is that the volume should be LOUDER! Other than that, great job. I agree with everyone here on the degradation of the turok series. If there miraculously is another game made, it should pick up right where turok 3 left off (adons evil sister was gonna stir up some shit with the councel). I think they should also find a way to bring back the primagen: He was turoks greatest foe, after all!

They were already there in the lost land. THe lost land pulls in fabric and aspects of other worlds and dimensions and adds them to it's own as well as periods in time.
So the humans being there could be humans from an alternate timeline on earth that got transported to the lost land.
I have no idea though to me the notion that brunkner was the final boss was a bit disappointing. But my guess is that they wanted to show Tal'Set getting his righful revenge or some archaic focus of that nature.

Im a diehard turok fan, and evolution was somewhat-decently put together, but it lost most of the key thematic elements that I think people valued in the turok games, particularly awesome, tribalish music, a mysterious sort of "what the fuck is going on" kind of feeling, a dark environment, and intimidating enemies. Sleggs did NOT cut it. They were goofy looking and really easy to kill. Not scary.
I'd have to agree though Turok 2 was vastly inferior to 1 mainly due to framerate and pacing issues. I haven't really played the new Turok (just the demo, though it doesn't look half bad actually) but am willing to give it a fair chance eventually. I hated 3, rather liked Rage Wars, and actually liked Evolution.
Wiping away the rivers of sweat that came down his face, Tal' Set quickly pulled out his tomahawk and lunged into the remaining group of soldiers.
One soldier armed with a club swung at his head but only hit empty air. With a mighty swing the blade sliced through the soldiers neck like tissue paper.
"Pretty good savage," sneered a voice. "Stand back you worms and let me show you how a real warrior fights!"
Out of the crowd emerged a burly man dressed in worn armor.
This was the only Turok that I enjoyed. I feel like the sequels always strayed too far from the original. This track is my most memorable. SO AWESOME.
Racing through the jungle, Tal' Set soon comes to an abrupt stop as the vine covered remains of an ancient stone city appears. Grunting, he raced up the top of the crumbling steps hoping to find answers.
"There he is!" yells a deep voice, "Surround him, master campaigner wants him dead!"
"More trouble," talset whispers as he pulls out the tech bow. "Come on I'm ready for you all."
Taking out a couple arrows, Tal' Set prepares himself as campaigners foot soldiers moved in. Slowly backing up, he quickly spyied a cracked pillar that was directly behind the central wave of soldiers.
"Head's up boys," Tal' Set whispered as he quickly fired an explosive arrow over the head of an incoming grunt. BABOOM!!!
Barely able to eek out a scream, the pillar slammed down upon the soldiers.
"Damn you!" cried a soldier before an arrow pierced his forhead.

let me say this, when this game came out, i remember every blockbuster had about 8 copies of this game an they were always out for about 4 weeks, i thought nothing was gonna touch goldeneye 64 untill this came out
there is no way in hell, this game could ever be remaked, like wolfstein 3d and Doom this its a true ARCADE FPS, and nowadays FPS HAVE to have evrything, voice acting, missions?, multiplayer, extras

Dude, I was the one renting it every week off Blockbuster when it came out. It was the best fucking game on the 64 along with GoldenEye when it came out. I still miss it, I should have bought it, instead, beat it 5 times by renting it. Such great days....and you're right, this classic can't be remade, if it is, it's not gonna be the same. And this is comming from someone who loved the comics before the game existed. TUROK FOREVER!!

@ICECOLDAVALANCHE this game was built to last, u can pick it up ans its still fun 2day, they put so much stuff in video games nowadays. I probably represent most people on here, I dont have all the time in the world to play video games, i only like quick in your face games, cause i just dont have time, an no patience. The N64 smashed the PS1 and Saturn. Honestly my opinion is its better then Ps2. Goldeneye, Zelda, Turok 1....its undeniable looking back how good it was

yes you are all right, turok 2 and 3 are not well made. They should have used the same game engine from Turok 1 and music similarities. this game looked so epic to play. i think in turok 3 they really went out of the world of turok, turok 3 is not turok, what happened to dinos and jungles?

It is assumed by the time of Dinosaur Hunter that Tyrannus and his slegs were exterminated by Tal'Set and any survivors fled and went into hiding.
Dinosoids do make a return in turok 2 but they aren't the slegs. the dinosoids of that game were created by the Primagen.

This was the only Turok that I enjoyed. I feel like the sequels always strayed too far from the original. This track is my most memorable. SO AWESOME.

Racing through the jungle, Tal' Set soon comes to an abrupt stop as the vine covered remains of an ancient stone city appears. Grunting, he raced up the top of the crumbling steps hoping to find answers.
"There he is!" yells a deep voice, "Surround him, master campaigner wants him dead!"
"More trouble," talset whispers as he pulls out the tech bow. "Come on I'm ready for you all."

Taking out a couple arrows, Tal' Set prepares himself as campaigners foot soldiers moved in. Slowly backing up, he quickly spyied a cracked pillar that was directly behind the central wave of soldiers.
"Head's up boys," Tal' Set whispered as he quickly fired an explosive arrow over the head of an incoming grunt. BABOOM!!!
Barely able to eek out a scream, the pillar slammed down upon the soldiers.
"Damn you!" cried a soldier before an arrow pierced his forhead.

Galbadia Hotel's just got the PC version's music. I believe the N64 music is more crisp sounding, and more attractive. However, both musics are good.

i think the best part in the game is when you have the dudes on the back of the triceratops shooting at you and when you kill the triceratops it falls on the guy and he screams while being crushed by it. only in turok!!

let me say this, when this game came out, i remember every blockbuster had about 8 copies of this game an they were always out for about 4 weeks, i thought nothing was gonna touch goldeneye 64 untill this came out
there is no way in hell, this game could ever be remaked, like wolfstein 3d and Doom this its a true ARCADE FPS, and nowadays FPS HAVE to have evrything, voice acting, missions?, multiplayer, extras

Dude, I was the one renting it every week off Blockbuster when it came out. It was the best fucking game on the 64 along with GoldenEye when it came out. I still miss it, I should have bought it, instead, beat it 5 times by renting it. Such great days....and you're right, this classic can't be remade, if it is, it's not gonna be the same. And this is comming from someone who loved the comics before the game existed. TUROK FOREVER!!

@ICECOLDAVALANCHE this game was built to last, u can pick it up ans its still fun 2day, they put so much stuff in video games nowadays. I probably represent most people on here, I dont have all the time in the world to play video games, i only like quick in your face games, cause i just dont have time, an no patience. The N64 smashed the PS1 and Saturn. Honestly my opinion is its better then Ps2. Goldeneye, Zelda, Turok 1....its undeniable looking back how good it was

@ICECOLDAVALANCHE And think about this. This goes out to all the Xbox 360 and PS3 fanboys. Look at the 360 look at the PS3 they are built to lasy, the games on both of them are incredible. The leap in technology when those systems came out was huge.10 years from now people are look back and say...damn the PS3 and 360 were classic systems, classic games, built to last. Im saying this cause it matters, the Xbox, N64, PS3, an Xbox 360 elite were built to last, thats whats video games is all about

hmm, i like the razorwind more than the Cerebral bore ^.-, but the 2nd turok, has no Weapons like fusioncanon or Cronocepter, Nuke only Freezes the enemy and has no affect by the Primigin or whatelse...^^

yes you are all right, turok 2 and 3 are not well made. They should have used the same game engine from Turok 1 and music similarities. this game looked so epic to play. i think in turok 3 they really went out of the world of turok, turok 3 is not turok, what happened to dinos and jungles?
