What a sweet, un-MTV-ie video, how rate to see life shown in all its span, through every divide. To say the least, this is NOT "posturing" music -- "posturing music" being the kind meant to say "I'm here, and you're THERE" as in "down there"! I think Amos Lee's 'Colors' and 'Black River' are exceptionally fine songs. Pray he never falls prey to celebrity -- and keeps his simplicity, breadth & wisdom. He has so much to give that this world so badly needs!

I loved his first CD but this track personally reminds me more of John Mayer than Dylan. He's talented but needs to stay clear of a pop sounds like this and stick to a soulful acoustic, that's his killer niche. Can't fault him for experimenting though. He's still on the rise without a doubt!

Amos is amazing.  i've seen him twice when he was with Bob Dylan. I missed the chance to get an autograph because I didn't think he was going to be big. I'm an idiot. But seriously, Amos is the next Bob Dylan. He's even got Dylan's approva, for chrissake Dyaln grabbed him as his opening act years ago. He is the next great singer/songwriter.

I listen to alot of good music new and old and as far as "newer" singer-songwriters go, I haven't heard too many guys who are better. I like ryan adams and jackie greene alot but I wouldn't say they're ahead this guy in singing or songwriting. Still, i agree he isn't a dylan or jackson browne or sam cooke etc
