The size of beads you can use depends upon the spacing of your loom. The Mirrix loom comes with different coils that allow you to use from size 15 to 8. I use Delica beads which are really cylinders. They fit together so the finish is smoother than with regular beads. Czech beads are rougher than Japanese beads, even Japanese round seed beads, but less expensive. Experiment. The Czech beads may be more complimentary to your style.
I'm just surprised I never thought that the simple beading process could be translated into such a large scale! I'm just dying to go get my large tapestry loom and modify it to handle this now!
I learned how to do this on a small loom, but I never realized that there were bigger looms to do beaded tapestry work! WOW! That's a pretty big job, but the results are gorgeous! Thank you for this video! You are a very good teacher, please make more! ;)
Great video Wish you would do some more was bery well made, thank you.

I love it! So much great information! This has become my new craft addiction lol!
What size beads do you recommend to create a tapestry? Do you recommend Czech beads just as much as Japanese?
thanks!
