Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength, and doing what's right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend.
i understand loving a movie and enjoying books... but to be this excited about the small town of forks! I live in Forks Washington and the community is very overwhelmed with all of the hype and non stop visitors daily. But i would like to say thank you in helping our small town thrive, loggin used to be our only source of income, and now its tourism.
For anyone who is planning a visit to Forks take a side trip to the Hoh rainforest. It is enchanting to walk through a forest where the moss hangs off of the trees as if someone had draped green christmas garland from them. It is a beautiful area.
i love mr. bill and ms. susan! he had the apron on and she had the fangs shirt...we stayed at their house a few nights and they are some of the sweetest ppl weve ever met!
I've been going to Forks ever since I was a baby.. all the Twilight Fans expect it to be just like how it is in the movie/books. It isn't that great it's just a town!
Be sure to bring an umbrella. If not, I am sure there is one there to buy. I love Forks too, but for most people it is a place you must visit at least ONCE. Pe Ell (the rival to Forks) is another western WA town you must visit ONCE. Check out Doty too! Don't even stop at Boistford.
hahaha, i love all these people going there for vacations. i don't really think they get what they expect. i mean NO offense to forks, i LOVE LOVE forks. i live near it and i love the rain and the Washington coast! and forks is so cute, i love it. but i think twilight fans expect some like bog town all centered around twilight. but really, its just a very small, rainy, but adorable.
@vonnyyay true. i mean lapush is one of the most beautiful beaches i've ever set foot on. but the town of forks is quite boring. i mean its not necessarily a quaint, cute little town. its very small and has very little to offer besides the twilight stuff. just sayin that i bet a lot of fans have their hopes let down.
I live in Forks and No it was not filmed here, it was filmed in and around Oregon. The director and author came out here for scouting. Nut oregon had tax breaks and we were "too small and isolated" as well, they also felt we couldn't support their cast and crew. They resived permission to use Forks H.S. facade and Jacket and spartan logo. It's cool I guess, It's brought tourists.
I live in Langley, BC (just by the border) and I've been through Forks. It's nice! All my friends love the book but it's sad how many people just look at that beautiful town for the book and not the beauty.
I agree with you on that. After reading the book, I googled Forks and it really is a beautiful place, nothing like where I live. I wanted to go there one day; partly because of the book but moreover because the landscape is incredible.
I know! My friends and I are going on a weekend trip in April to Forks to take a movie called 'The REAL Forks'. We all have been to Forks and even though Langley greatly resembles the movie Forks (forests, rain, seldom sunny, etc.) I think that really appreciating the similar landscape down there is more important than going on a 'Bella Watch'.
good job brooke!!!! but you gots to admit its gay on how many people come to our home town because of a book!!! oh well but as someone once said "its a sad day in forks washington when we're known for a stupid book and not logging. but the book isnt stupid.
