Chastity and kumbhaka will give increasing longevity unto immortality. But this would be, for most, an incarnational development (over lifetimes). Thus most of even the great yogins, such as Nityananda, die. Babaji is an immortal, and there were signs that so was Neem Karoli Baba.
Our limits are set by our lack of faith, our vision of the possible, our conditioning (including the repeated story of birth, aging and death that we are impinted with), then also our ability to be continent, and our ability to contact the transcendental through support of the foregoing things. With these five: faith, vision, destruction of conditioning, continence, and meditation -- yes, immortality is possible.
Thanks for this Video... But what I really want to know is, is it really possible to conquer oldage and Death if one becomes an Urdhvareta ? Because I have seen yogis growing old hence I am a little sceptical. Kindly reply to this comment. Thanks
Yes, you'll see that trend in this present life. I often look younger than I looked ten years ago, and my energy has never subsided. The dynamic will be seen even more over the youthful buildup of repeated incarnations. Eternal youth is of the nature of a siddhi, and the siddhis come to the continent.
@genai98 No,one cannot escape old age, disease and death. At some point you will be forced out of your present body no matter how austere you may be.At the time of death based on your consciousness you will be given another body, but "to those who are constantly Devoted to ME and Worship ME with Love,I give the understanding by which they can come to Me". BHAG.10.10 so practice bramacharya, yet realize its a means to a end....LOVE of GOD not for enjoying your present body longer than Yr karma allows
@TheManolakis Thanks for your advice & that Quote Mr... No offence but I guess you didn't read my question properly. I am talking about CONQUERING oldage, diseases & Death; not escaping from it. You see, I am not the escaping types. May HE bless you :)
Lust makes us stupid to prevent us from understanding this truth. And we willingly succumb, thus destroying our chances to ever reach our full potential.

It's hard to quit bashing, but the rewards I'm sure are beneficial, it probably takes a long time, especially without a guru.
