In Islam its not ok for a man to just hit a woman. Women are highly respected, only a coward would take his anger out on a female. What it DOES say (in surah 4) is that a husband should give his wife a "punishment" if she commits an indecency with her body. Take that however you want. Of course nowadays its common that spineless men will not even risk speaking up and upsetting their wife, even when they've been wronged.

@TheDustpile You should know by now, Dustpile, that you are always going to get the runaround and never a straight answer from a muslim. Christians are not permitted to lie for ANY reason, especially to spread Christianity! To me, it's a dead giveaway as to who the godly ones are; muslims are amoral and as Jesus said "A tree is know by it's fruit." In the West are taught from an early age (even those of us who did not grow up in a Christian family) that lying is wrong.

Every time a Muslim tries the 'religion of peace' soft soap, plenty of more orthodox Muslims, quoting the Koran inside out, proclaim more of the filth and fury the religion is known for. 'Ooo, you have to spend a lifetime of in-depth study and interpretation', say Muslims to us. But the bosses of the Islamic world and their Mini-Me fundamentalist brothers have no trouble in picking up a Koran and starting to read.
Terrorist Muslims are honest at least. Other Muslims delude.

@TheDustpile Because God says He 'wrote the law in [our] hearts'. Meaning; we have a conscience. We are born with a basic understanding of right and wrong.
Muslims work overtime to erase this default setting and install a new one, one which is contrary to God's will. For me it's pretty easy to see who's really godly and who's really evil.
They teach little kids that dying in jihad is GLORIOUS. I have seen signs "We Hate You more than We Love our Children".
Clearly that's true.

All their junk about Jews being turned into apes and that infidels must be killed are taken straight from Islamic scripture. And they have absolutely no problem at all in promoting the teachings of, to them, their greatest son.
Saudi Arabia is Islam's HQ nation as much as Russia was for Communism. And the two aren't dissimilar in certain ways.

Saudi Arabia is NOT the HQ for Islam. Other than the Holy Cities being in the country, I don't know quite what you mean by that. There is no nationalism in Islam (the Quran states that all humans are one people).
The Saudi monarchy is a travesty in my eyes, a rotting relic of colonialism. They live in skyscrapers and mansions while their own citizens struggle to get by with no political voice. Please don't think I listen to what they say.
My Quran is my Islamic HQ :)

If you know anything about Islamic history, you'll know this is refering to the Quraysh, the dominant tribe at the time trying to eliminate the "new" religion. I'm not going to sugarcoat warfare for you (we do in fact live in a violent world) but the Quran does not say to kill anyone who does not believe.

Muhammad said if a Muslim leaves Islam then 'kill him'. Al-Bukhari (6922). The Hadiths are loaded with shit threatening dire consequences for leaving the Religion of Peace. And considering most Muslims across the world want DEATH for apostasy even now (Pew poll), I'd say that's damn conclusive.

You can twist any one single quote however you like. So if the Quran says kill your enemy, you can't just kill your enemy how you wish, you must abide by the other laws of the Quran. You can't just pick and choose which parts you want to follow. The Quran has strict limitations on warfare: no killing the innocent, children, or women. If the enemy demands peace, you must give it to them. If the enemy is beaten back, you must make peace with them.

@Vehan80107 Indeed you can't pick and choose, even though contradictory verses exist. Abrogation 'takes care' if that, especially where the peace Medina verses were cancelled out by later Meccan verses. However, as you know, the Koran isn't written in chronological order.

One should not destroy buildings/property. One must not be a TRANSGRESSOR, for Allah does not love transgressors. Anyone who disregards these laws is not truly a muslim. Besides Allah states in the Quran that each man is responsible for himself, not others (for that is tyranny) and that there is NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION, and also that there are those who will not believe (so what is the point in trying to convert the world through violence?).
