i think there was a plug-in that did that but i'm not sure what it's called you might want to search for it online :) btw i have the same problem so i just have my friend who has 8 gbs of ram :P
It's a new plugin from d-storm. It brings a brend new fluid/particle system in Lightwave, and not only. You can download a free beta (with some limitations) from DStorm site.
