I remember that Price is Right! I was sitting there laughing at first, but then I felt sorry for her. I think in the end, she got it right, didn't she?

I don't know about anyone else, but based on the way the older woman keeps grinning after she screws up, I kinda get the impression that she's doing it deliberately.
It's not exactly a shady program, it's a product showcase. The point is to drill the MSRP of products directly into your head and reward you for brand name recognition.
and believe it or not, they got it from the Americans. TPIR in America got the bright idea to call two contestants into contestants row and then onstage to play for a car using this concept to try to fix up the unwinnable original Bullseye where you had to guess the price of a car EXACTLY in 7 bids.
I never thought it was a good iea when they did in the states and i still think it's a bad idea now.

I think she new what she was doing, considering the smirk she had after the camera cut away.
By the way, what do they call that part of TPIR in Australia, the Showcase? Cause that is no where near how our showcases are in the US

It's just a very effective form of advertising.

Wow; thats a shady concept of the show to predict a bunch of valuable prizes to the nearest dollar. Why not just flip a coin instead?
