Poetry, Research, Ethics/Morals, Medicine, Nursing, Autonomy, Beneficence, Respect.......it just keep going on and on......this is the movie of all time!!!!
Watching this film sorta prepared me-insofar as one can be-for seeing my father and best friend both die of cancer. Was holding my fathers hand when he took his last breath and was with my friend as he physically deteriorated in the most horribly dignity stripping way. I've realized 1) the measure of your decency as a compassionate, adult human being is being there for someone till the end, no matter how hard for you. 2)everything you say to them will feel terribly inadequate and trite, so be it
Thank you so much for this, and especially for not cutting it off right as the end credits roll. The ending is so beautiful with her recitation of the sonnet and the music over it, and when the video and music just stop it takes something away from the effect. Great job. Thanks again.
thanks for uploadin the movie..im into nursing n our professor told us that itll b nice to watch it over the weekend..( lecture..oncology).n im glad i found it ...=).. .what can i say..... wordless perhaps. gosh this was incredible n well performed .. since im not sure bout which division im gonna pick.. oncology is a biggy....anyway. .. one thing is for sure..n...deff the patient is # 1.
I first saw this film when I was 16 years old and home sick from school. I had the flu...chills...vomiting...cramps, etc. I was home alone and felt lonely! I can't tell you the connection the film made w/ me. I thought about it a lot since...but never watched it again until this night. I was almost too scared to. The film forces you to face your own mortality in the most literal way! It's haunting yet tender. You cry NOT only b/c you feel sorry for Vivian...you cry b/c you imagine it's you!
I can think of only two perfect films I have ever seen in my life. One was The Third Man and the other was Wit. Wit is by far the greater film because is just reeks of honesty. I consider Wit the greatest film ever made. It is to film what a Beethoven symphony is to music.
Sit back and dwell on your own mortality as the credits roll by.
i remember watching this on television when i was young..it was just 5 years ago when i became crazed with the medium of movie but when i saw this movie something inside me clicked--it was a faint recognition of sort of something, a piece so wonderful..how Wit played out a story about death yet underplays sentimentality is just awe inspiring and quite amazing that it begs the watcher to really see the character, how she's flawed and how she takes this journey and learns through dying..Bravo Emma
one of the best yet most difficult movies to watch. despite the bleak storyline, it is almost impossible not to want to watch this over and over again. Kudos to Emma Thompson for playing Vivian Bearing so well.

@duckxveg hahahha, lol, take it easy just dont pay attention to the comments and enjoy the almost 14400 views, bueno de nuevo gracia por subir la peli, la tenia que volver a ver para un trabajo y me ahorraste tiempo/plata, thx

It made me think about death often since I was 14 years old...I kept asking myself where do we go after we die...and now I have almost convinced myself that the whole concept of God is just away to comfort ourselves when our time comes. I came to the conclusion that the world as we know it might really be an accident, and that all of this is meaningless, I wish that someday someone will prove me wrong.
@sneekyfreak12 Not sure what happens when you die, but God definitely exists. This world isn't just an accident. Just think about the odds and you'll realise how much sense the idea of God makes. Anyway, every time i've prayed, my prayers were answered, and I've also had an experience with the Holy Spirit. I've deaf people start to hear again after spiritual healers prayed for them, I've seen people who couldn't walk start to walk again after being prayed for...that's more than enough prof fr me
Gracias nuevamente.
He visto la película.
Cried like a baby.

@SneakyBeezy No man is an island, entire of itself
every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main
if a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were,
as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were
any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind
and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls
it tolls for thee.
