@gerardbedecarter Glad you like it, interesting to note that this is a digital (eh-hem) recording by someone who probably knew Robt. Schumann! Come to think of it the coda does sound very Schumannesque.
Thanks for your comment - I didn't realize that it is of course a notable year in this respect. I have some other performances he did but only Mozart and Haydn which I think he preferred to play rather than anything modern like Liszt! The piano roll of his Ballade can be heard elsewhere on YouTube if you look.
Very interesting to hear this - especially in Reinecke's death centenary year. I hope he gets some fraction of the attention that Schumann and Chopin will receive for their anniversaries!
