there was an election last year in iran, by the time Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad was the president of iran who had been selected from the previous election.

people were going to make a change, so they went to vote with hope, before the election, Mir Hossein Musavi was the winner of the election in mind of iranian people ( just to let you know that mir hossein mussavi was one of the candidates and he was the re-presenter of the opposition party and his party's symbolic color was green)read on

@CamiS1o1 but when the result came out people were shocked and surprised because for the second time Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad was selected for the second time in a row. people didn't trust the result and came to the street to show that the election was fake and in favor of Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad. but government killed the protesters and put many of them in prison. later on the green symbolic color of the party became as a movement known as the Iranian green movement. please read on the next reply

@CamiS1o1 this protest was the result of 30 years cruelty of Iranian murderer regime which came out as the Iranian green movement. during those days many people died and were shot. one of the martyr of the movement was NEDA AGHA SOLTAN who became the symbol of the movement later on
