I recall being disappointed with the lack of missions in XWvTF compared to the great number of them in 'Tie Fighter'. Good game though still, anyone still playing it online, lol. Maybe I should install it again and see if it works.

I think I had Balance of Power at one point, but I've lost it. I still have XvT though and I think it works on Win XP too. I had TF working not too long ago as well. I prob wouldn't play online much anymore though, I've been playing CoD and such. I hope they make a SWBattleFront3 soon - that would be cool! SWBF2 won't connect online on the PS3 for some reason.

yeah if not wrong was a mission in the trainig called"warhead interception"..i tried x-wing alliance but this game remains the best!!(bop is also very funny..but they could add more crafts!b-wing sucks!)

Now this is an awesome game.

For some reason on my copy..the engines throttle back to zero by themselves!

Which sucks when your doing a hit and run against enemy ships and bases.

I love those missions where u have to take out those huge starfighter factories!

You mean the Interdictor, while being heavily outnumbered (you're in a TIE Bomber with one wingman) and there are 12 transports attacking at the beginning with torpedoes :/

actually since the closure of the zone. many have thought that xvt community has dead. matter of fact it is still alive and well. TRA has made a alternate program called errant venture. well search for it in myspace, the site is named xwingvstie

Started with Xwing in 94 then Tie Fighter, then THIS game then alliance. Still probably one of the best space sims ever made. They don't do stuff like this anymore which I find weird cause the computer potential is HUGE. This was the weakest game I found, although it was nice to see texture on the fighters :D

I disagree. Flight sim popularity is on the rise again, and people are buying joysticks like nobody's business. Take Saitek, for instance.

In the store near me there are few joysticks on the shelf-once stores sold about 6 different sticks. It maybe sims are getting more popular and as a result more sticks will be marketed but i still don't see the increase in them yet. look at freelancer-designed as is due to lack of sticks in homes

I never played XvT, at least not multiplayer. However, I fought many battles succesfully in XWA multiplayer... 99,44% of matches with the TIE Interceptor. Horrible netcode! "Know how to fight ghosting and warping and you'll have an advantage..." :)

Oh my god, I remember this game! The first multiplayer X-wing game ever... and one of the best! Man. Why can't they make another one of these?
