  • game is really her middle name

This one is a tribute to the girl who puts what she has on the line, she's got an optimistic outlook on the night and just want to earn a dollar.

    Nice.

  • Holy sh***t where has this woman been all my life????

  • No seriously, why have I only discovered this woman's existence today? And I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable of 70s music.

  • @IAmPlaysWithSquirrel Bend over and I will kick you. Then I will bend over and you kick me. I had the same reaction.

  • great stuff!

  • I've been looking around for live footage of Betty. If anyone knows of any, please tell!

  • Sexy as hell - 3 people are deaf eunuchs!

  • Wow, i love You Tube for this-not only have I not heard this since my early teens, but I thought I was the only one diggin it. One of my older bros bought the album, but I never heard much of it (no wonder , huh) :-) Cant imagine her & Miles together, at the time we laughed cause her name was the same as the actress ( & she was so different)...now I'm gonna go look for "I Miller shoes" (those that know, know)

  • i her that she was banded from playing in the us be cause the way she dressed.she is the for runner of nasty girl i saw her play i constitution hall in like 72 or 73 i was a kid then im 53 now. she was like that yey boy

  • This is where Lady Gaga gets her style from...

  • Comment removed

  • @MrKidKong Did I say she looked like Lady Gaga? Did I say I dislike Lady Gaga?! ! I don't care what you like or you don't like. I am free to issue any fucking comment I want. If you don't like it, that's just too fucking bad!

  • Straight Sex Appeal with a heaping dose of attitude and grit....She could stomp the crap out of any of these plastic wanna-be tart singers now a days...

She sounds so damn raunchy...what a turn on!!! they don't make 'em like you Miss Betty xoxo

  • Great funk!

  • I see there are a lot of fans of Ms. Betty Davis from my home town of Pittsburgh. We played her stuff back in the day 1973 and 1974 and party on down; hell sometimes we throw on "Git in there" and More....Hey Betty if you are still out there we still love you and I know and you know and we all know that Wild Women Don't Have No Blues.....

  • As if this video even has 1 dislike

  • This girl was way ahead of her time.... now it's pretty tame compared to the likes of Lady Gaga, etc.

  • @northernlimit wtf? lady gaga?

  • soundslike arapper tryin to get a record deal! joke. i learned of her reading Miles Davis' autobiography.....excellent book.

  • OUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OUI !!!!!!

  • undisputed queen of funk-rock and nastiness!

  • STANK FONK!!!

  • in 1972 she was WAAAYYYY more interesting to me than her hubby (Miles)!

  • I was 8 years old and blasting this song when my mom came home from work. She listened for a little while and screamed "Turn that off, NOW". I couldn't understand the problem. But I wanted to hear this so bad I kept repeating the words cause I knew, with my mom, I'd never hear it again. Little did she know that 30 years later there would be a YouTube and I would find my kind of nasty! Take me home. Take me home. Take me home. Thank you for posting. I can die now. I love it!

  • DIRTY FONK!!!!

  • Betty Davis makes even my math homework look sexy

  • COME ON AN RIDE THIS RODEO

  • IF KIDS TODAY ONLY NEW WHAT GOOD MUSIC WAS.....

  • gosh - horrneyyy

  • Damn, She can blow and sound real nasty!! Damn, I need to take a cold shower!!

  • I was in high school when this came out. This was during a golden age of music. We certainly are not living in one now. Her crew hung out with Miles and Hendrix. Betty Davis was, at that time, what Madonna or Lady Gaga wish were. Lastly, take the musicians working with her. Each one, on their own, major influences on today's music (more often sampled). If you wish to be a REAL musician (studying past masters), I suggest checking these guys out. For you youngsters, talk to your folks.

  • I love this woman!

  • gritty, gritty voice. nice song.

  • this is wild, man!!!!!!!

  • Every so often, this world springs forth something beautiful, sexy & ALIVE!

Betty celebrates hedonism, the human condition.

    Go ahead Betty..!

"Woman's destiny Is to be wanton, like the bitch, The She-Wolf. She must belong to all who claim her."" - Marquis De Sade

  • this track healed my hangover (maybe the spliff and the beer helped out too :D )

  • Say U will, Say U willllll! The original nasty girl. You go Betty!

  • This is the bomb!

  • This song is so f@¢#ing awesome it's wrong! It is bare non one of baddest ass songs I've ever heard! This woman is a Goddess!

  • She was dame sexy

  • makes you wanna get down and grind!

  • A black customer came into a huge record I managed in Evansville and brought me this LP, after this song, I was hooked. Her LP's sold to white teachers, long hairs, like me, and no one has ever touched her. Larry Graham, Lord have mercy! Way ahead of her time. Makes today's divas look like Southern Baptists!

  • I was a kid, but loved this record! I purchased it with my allowance. Between this and "Pillow Talk" I was clueless as to what this was all about.

  • Why could she not make it ? This is talent of the top order. What a high level of musicianship ! Those days were tough. This good and still unable to make a dent.

  • She was one of the sexy-sirens from the 70's era. Had a Tina Turner swagger about her style. I loved the way "Method-Man sampled this jam on his "Rodeo" hit.

  • shoulda been up there with tina

  • @btinsley1 Ffo' sho' love her style!

  • Greg Errico: I remember that name from Sly & The Family Stone.

Now that was one hard-ass funky outfit with a cross-over rock edge.

Back in the day when the universe consisted of Hendrix, Led Zep and the Family Stone - music was right on the edge of outer space, man....

  • I could never find this album..It came out in the early 70's

  • Yess..this is real music ( real funk) She rocks alll day!!!

    Peace & Blessings, QACC

  • @TheVleckChannel oh yeah! totally agree!lol

  • this woman is extraordinary

  • larry graham, family stone and graham central station, on bass, greg ericco of sly and the family stone, drums, producer, neal schon guitar of journey. the pointer sisters and sylvester sang back ground on other tracks from the album. amazing.

  • Betty was awesome...

  • While what most of what you say is true, the statement "the word FREAK was not recorded on a alblum (sic) for another 20 years..." is off the mark. Remember Rick James and "Super Freak," around eight years later, in 1981?

  • Rick James recorded "Super Freak" not 10 years later. Sorry. Otherwise, Betty is sooo funk.

  • have always loved this song. I might add that when I first saw those silver boots I wanted some for myself

  • yes the funkiest woman on the planet

  • The Original Queen Diva of Funk that knew how to really 'bring-it' in the 70's...and her studio band was one of the best funk crews ever assembled.

  • Outrageously womanly!!! Whoaaaaaaa sister!

  • Amazing, this song is funky and nasty and there's not one cuss word......wow!

  • @delta1312 Just raw fuckin' talent!! - kinda refreshing huh?

  • @clumpft LOL what's his deal with cursing

  • @delta1312 what does that have to do with anything?

  • i love this to death x

  • i realy love her.
