Its on any other console EXCEPT for the Wii. I'll tell you why: In the Wii version, the music is slowed down a lot. Its F*cking annoying! But it makes the Marble Zone sound better i think.

They didn't use an emulator. As I know it, there are no emulators that can create the sounds of the original hardware it was designed for. I've heard scratchy explosions, but the ones displayed sound like from the original, and the Wii plays all sounds as they were back in the good ole days.

The game has been ported many ways on many consoles now.
Wii hosts Sega Genesis games on its virtual console. Sonic 1 is available on the VC. I won't download it since I have it on Sonic Mega Collection.
The guy probably used an emulator. But I use emulators to know if the game is worth to be bought.
