The EU- parliament is a joke.

Over the parliament you have the EU- commission. And there you have Europes real government. And it´s non elected.

Further, it doesn't matter wich of the established parties you"vote" for in your own country. Because, in the end all votes goes to the EU- commission anyways. Why? The countries in EU lost too much of it's own sovereignty to the non- elected elite.

@Smulan45 Okej. Men jag tycker det är bra. Hela röstande andelen av Europas befolkningen tror jag vet bättre än de som röstar i Sverige, inklusive mig. Det blir ett medelvärde som inte påverkas av efemära lokaliserade skillnader, och därför ett mer generellt resultat som påverkar för det bättre. De lokala valen i länderna bestämmer då lokalt, som i Förenta Staterna, och ungefär som om sverige skulle vara självständigt, men utan okonventionella avvikelser.

Lissabonfördraget infördes så att majoriteten, inte minoriteten, skulle bestämma över vad som händer i Europa. Om det inte skulle införts, hade hälften av befolkningen i tjeckien kunna rösta ner hela EU.

Men när det nu har växt måste man skaffa ett "lissabonfördrag" annars kommer utvecklingen stå stilla. Tänk om ALLA skulle vara tvugna att rösta likadant i varenda folkomröstning. @Smulan45 Europaparlamentet fick större makt i EU i samband men införandet av lissabonfördraget, genom att flytta den makten från Eu. Kommissionen som väljs av parlamentet, och på så sätt flyttar ner makt ett snäpp till den direktvalda institutionen som är Eu. Parlamentet, och på så sätt innebär makt närmre folket. Jag tycker man vore trångsynt att inte förstå hur detta hjälper hela EUs befolkning genom att flytta makten till de som verkligen kan något utan att bilda hierarki.
