  • !!!!!!!!!!!!

    =o)

  • :D HECK YEAH! Love this movie! Nothing like a classic. I thank my dad for introducing me to this movie. Sad what actually happened to Joey Cramer (David)... my opinion: should have stayed in the acting business.

Back to the subject of the movie. Definitely an underrated classic. Thank you for making this. When I found the movie on DVD I was so excited! Our VHS copy was wearing out.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

  • @TravoltaMoonFan7 Thanks again for finding that, sis.

  • @Swampert384 Anytime. Knew you'd like it. :)

  • credo sia uno dei pochi film dove ci fanno vedere gli alieni come amici e non come nemici grande NAVIGATOR

  • questo film è il mio preferito lo adoro !

  • I have it on BLU Ray now and its great in full HD 1080P on my 50 inch TV you notice so much more detail.

I got it from Germany so its really cool.

  • Kids movies in the '80s just had something magical about them that you hardly ever get in movies these days. Nowadays it's mostly just all lame teeny boppers and fart jokes. Back then, it was fun characters in fun stories that kids and their parents could sit around and watch together.

  • This was one of my favourite films as a kid!! I was given it as a bday present last year and i was over the moon :-) Great to just hear both theme tunes too!

  • RAD soundtrack, good work Silvestri.

  • How can someone dislike this? Weirdo's !!

  • Inconceivably outstanding tribute to one of the best movies Disney ever made! Thanks for posting!

  • i have this soundtrack and i LOVE IT!!! when the songs come up on my ipod!!! its great!!!

  • Don't forget about Mac and Me

  • love this film in the 80s and still do :D

  • Robot Romp sounds like a song you'd hear on a Soinc the Hedgehog game.

  • Man the childhood memories:D

  • A Remake is NOT Welcome. There is no way that this film could be Any better, So it can ONLY end up being WORSE.

Stop ruining the Classics & Start getting off your high horse & find real Writers, real artists, real musicians & start making good films again. Because quite frankly I'm Sick of the Check List Films you Keep making. Shakey Cameras, Over-Used CGI, Strobe Edits, Boring Orchestrated Music, Over-Payed Actors, Uninspired Stories, oh the list goes on. Take this film as an Example ONLY.

  • Great video and sound track I have the DVD to.

  • one of the coolest tunes ever! i got goosebumps!

  • I've loved this movie and it's soundtrack music since my first viewing in 87. Alan Silvestri composes some of the coolest movie music from the 80s. He also wrote the slick soundtrack music for "Predator", "Back To The Future" and "The Abyss". Thanks Jazwardo for the quality sound upload. This CD is not easy to find these days. I never thought I would ever say this, but damn, I miss the 80s.

  • Really good editing and I love the soundtrack from the film!

  • This is by FAR one of the BEST masterpieces ever made. What an amazing movie.

I grew up with this movie and I LOVE that ship thing.... When do they come out ??

  • why doesn't hollywood make movies like this anymore?

  • Neat. One of these days I should sit down and watch that movie.

  • Awesome music video, Jazwardo.

  • Awesome vid, I hope the part about the remake is a joke.

  • Really gets pumping at 3:45

  • This along with goonies were the films of my chilhood. Such classics.

  • i remeber playing the roll on the gas station. That movie took three years to make

  • @MrGolden103 so ur MR. too many twinkies???? that's awesome! how old r u now? u still keep in touch with Joey??? he should be around my age, like 38 or something

  • @jusaLOSER it was fun to make this movie i got to say but some sens in the movie was so fun. its hard to believe i got hardly no money out of this but it paid off in the long run though.

  • @MrGolden103 are u gonna make an appearance in the remake? when will it be ready? is it goin into the theaters or to dvd? Do u have any clue if they're using an already famous kid star or if they are using an unknown actor? sorry about the questions but i would like to know, if u have any clue about anything that would be great! please reply

  • Yup, loved growing up in the 80's. Nicely done video. Brings up so many memories. =D. thanks for posting.

  • Great film and have this on DVD to.

  • At 3:09 it flies through the cables ??

  • Heavy use of the Synclavier II digital music system in this sound track, which I love. Great stuff from Alan Silvestri as always! :) Hall & Oates used it a lot too for their 1984 Big Bam Boom album, sounds wicked too ;)

  • It's a great film, great soundtrack and could make cycling helmets trendy!

  • This is such a fantastic soundtrack! It's so punchy!

  • In Japan, this movie had also good prefferences among younger generations. I found this movie from my teacher's invitation as one of summer season movie that is recommended. I got strange impression from time traveling. That brought me into the unexperienced world that I've never imagined. And through this theme music I could remember the feeling that I got after see this movie when I was still junior high school student. I'd like to show my appreciation for your approading any way! Arigatou!!!

  • I remember this classic film genius soundtrack by Alan Silvestri. Nice vid, love that part where the ship goes 1st Class.

  • I'm so glad and thankful that I'm an 80's kid.

  • @xsara123 I think if we were born in the 90's or later our IQ's would start dropping.

  • @markdastunna I hear you on that one.

  • I love this - classic 80's adventure!

  • I loove that 2nd track especially the beginning and end of it with eery electronic arpeggios - created a great atmosphere for the whole film. The bit in the film where he enters the lab where they're keeping the ship still stays with me - it had such a sense of awe and wonder to it.

  • i got this on dvd ace film and music is fantastic

music and films in 80s are the best.

    forever 80s

  • I want his NASA hat!

  • Great Video & Great Movie! Grande

  • the 80s movies had the best music i think i loved this movie when i was younger now i`m 28 and i still love it this music ROCKS!!!

  • So many films you loved as a kid turn out to be crap. This isn't one of them.

A real classic family film. It should be released as a Disney classic.

The remake will be an animated version, which i'm curious about.

  • I heard lots of movies people love as kids turn out to be crap, but, for me that's not the case. Although I recognize the flaws of the movie as I get older, it just ends up not bothering me and I still like the movie. I still watch Disney movies and I'm 25 years old, (seriously I'm 25.......don't take my username literally, I just suck at making user names) The only two Disney movies I dont like anymore are Peter Pan and The Sword In The Stone.

  • its ok ive found it now, anyone else wants to know its called Robot Romp by Alan Silvestri

  • can anyone plz tell me the name of the music from 3:25 onwards plz?

  • what songs are these please tell me how i can download them lol email me

  • This movie means so much to me! The theme music is awesome and it has stuck with me the first time I saw this movie. This brings back memories.

I always remember the first shot in this movie. It was a pleasant surprise- what seemed like UFO actually turned out to be a Frisbee! :)

  • I remember seeing this on the Disney Channel (back when they showed Donald Duck cartoons and required a magazine to let you know what's on) on a Saturday night before a wedding our family went to.

  • i love this movie and the music. thank you so much for upload ^^

  • This is such a wonderfully done video. I used to wear our old VHS tape out watching this movie, really brought me back. Great editing, great effects, kudos!

  • Love the music, mostly the end credits tune.

And I am still amazed by the CGI in this film, some modern films don't look that good.

  • Oh, I was they release a special edition dvd with a retrospective documentary, commentary, deleted scenes and all that good stuff.

  • still a great movie ^^

  • What's the name of the song that begins at 3:28? It's just wonderful and the band "DMT Synth" did a great remix of it.

  • "Robot Romp" - Alan Silvestri. :-D

the title is in the video description on the right.

  • i love this movie. WONDERFUL movie. so cool and stellar. true classic.

  • 4:26 was always my favorite part

  • This music was played on the Synclavier music synthesizer system. State of the art for its time. Still in wide use today, too.

  • AAAAAAAA Trimaxean drone ship. I guess I'm showing my age. This a classic

  • can i have a full copy of the movie pls send me

i really love this since my childhood

  • A classic of classics.

I just want to watch this movie again, not the remake purposed by Disney.

  • Love this mix!! Good job!!

  • Love this film..so kool..love the music aswell..Thank you ^_^

  • awesome, loved the movie and the awesome sound track, took me along time to find out the name of the songs!!

  • Seriously...BEST...SONG...EVER. They don't make 'em like this anymore. Makes my balls explode.

  • the remake should be good hopefully it doesnt take 5 years to make!

  • The re-make they're planning... it could be cool, if they made it with the daughter of the original kid, whos name I forget right now...

Surely some reason for a re-visit of the same alien, to talk to (Brian??) and his daughter, can be concocted. It would make a cool bit of synergy if the new kid was a girl rather than a boy...

  • Joey Kramer

  • Compliant!

  • Compliant!

  • On May 25, 2009, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Disney was readying a remake of the movie. Brad Copeland is writing the script and Mandeville partners David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will serve as producers......by the grace of god do not let them screw this up!

  • nooooooooooooo why do a remake???? noo!!!

there is ONE AND ONLY NAVIGATOR!!!

  • How can they screw it up? I dont get this fucking moronic attitude you filmgeeks have...

The original will ALWAYS be there. It wont be fucked up by a re-make... rather, the re-make will introduce a new generation of kids to the story, 'cause for some ungodly reason, they're too stupid to see the merit of movies that werent made yesterday.

  • You know what? I am so tired of the Hollywood remaking going on these days. Is Hollywood so bereft of ideas that they have to mess with every decades greatest movies?

This is a kid's classic that has the magic that can only be captured by the unique style of the 80's. This movie makes me remember wearing high tops, slap-on wristbands, and other styles of the late 80's as a kid. I doubt seriously this new one will be anywhere as good. Sigh....

  • as long as they don't use a jonas brother or a stupid emo kid! i may be interested in it. they should use Cameron Bright he's a good young actor that would work good in the remake.

  • Augh a remake? That's so wrong. What they SHOULD be doing is promoting the old version better. It's so good on its own, but so underrated.

  • thats a great movie, takes me far back

  • Favourite movie in the whole world! You really did it justice! Nice editing.

  • Epic 80's memories! Gawd i sooo miss the music and Disney when it was great like this!

  • 1. say ur lovers name in ur fist

    2.kiss ur fist

    3. post dis to 5 other vids in 60 mins

4.he or she will ask you out or kiss you tomorrow. GOOD LUCK KIDS

  • steve lol love this film great composer

  • Such a memorable movie, and a fitting tribute :)

  • classic movie. loved it

  • This kind of music is da best!!!!!!!! I wish I lived back in the 80s and I'd give anything for it!!!

  • This song brings back so many memories of the 80's. This was my favorite movie when I was a kid and I loved the music, too! I was six years old in 1986 when it came out. This movie and E.T. are two great science fiction movies from the 1980's. Great video, thanks!

  • I want to see flight of the conchords do a song about flight of the navigator! Let's make it happen people!

  • Love the video. I just downloaded the entire soundtrack on limewire, Brings me back lol

  • Excellent video of one of my favorite movies. I am 42 and was also 12 in 1978 and remember like it was yesterday. I turned 18 in 1984 so this really brought back the great feelings. I have a DVD too of the movie. I wanted to get a cd of the soundtract in recent years but it has been impossible to find. Thanks for making this :)

  • 4:00 :D

  • You've done a brilliant job on this! I was 9 when I fisrt watched this film. It really spooked me in the beginning. I'm 30 now and I still love it! I have it on DVD. The music is fab!

  • I thought about building the ship in my back yard for my kids to play in

  • This movie means so much to me. It really epitomized the lost innocence of the 1980's - truly the last greatest decade America will ever know. The last great president America will ever have. Nostalgia is often bittersweet.

  • I saw this movie in 1986 (i was 11), and this movie brings me a lot of memory.

  • damm this brings back memory's... the first time i saw it was back in 94 when i was 4 years old on the good old bata max ;) and i just saw it to day for the first time 15 years. still my favrite disney movie of all time.

  • Classic movie...Classic music.

  • Thanks so much for putting this up, I was just looking for the two songs played on the end credits. Loving the 80s synth music, good job!. :D

  • wonder what Joey Cramer is doin now!

  • Check out the "Joey Cramer ... FOUND AT LAST" page (search google) even has a photo!.

  • This is AWESOME!!!!

  • Well done!

The video goes great with the music. Rather well syncronized in my opinion.

  • I have the DVD. The first time I ever watched this movie was in the fifth grade and I've fallen in love with Disney movies even if I'm in my late 20s. I love going back to memory lane and I'm an eighties baby.

  • nice! sad part is, i learned how to play this whole thing on keyboards

  • Disney in the Eighties was so awesome. We had Flight of The Navigator, The

Little Mermaid and the tv specials.

    Pre-Hannah Montana Disney was

    great.

  • Yeah, I totally have the fricken sound track, and I have the movie on DVD. OMG, I am such a dork.

  • your not a dork i think most kids love this when thay were a kid what wrong with watching again i say its fun to go back in time lol!!!!!

  • as long as nobody else ages 8 years and u don't stay the same age! LOL yeah i think the very first time i saw this movie was in the early 90s when i was in my Late teens, possibly early 20s and i LOVED it! i am 36 now and have the dvd! i think my favorite part is when they r soarin playing "i get around" but yeah this song is a cool one!

  • ahh memories of being a 11 year old in 1986, I remember my aunt took us kids to see this when it first came out. I loved it and I actually still have this on VHS although I have the DVD version too.. Great movie

  • This song really takes off and starts to rock at 3:50. Cool 80s synth awesomeness!

  • I agree I love the drum riff of the Robot Romp song which starts at 3:28 as well. It is still my favorite song from the movie.

Way to go Alan Silvestri you really created a great song.

  • I steel have this cool movie on vhs

iv watched it a lot. i wish there was a 2nd one that would be cool

  • This movie was also probably one of the most underrated movie's they made. I hope we the fan's get the privlidge of Disney remaking this classic movie someday. I think it could work on today's

silver screen and be a whole lot better than the 1980's classic version.

  • This is my favorite Disney movie of all time. I'm 31 yearsold and the first time I saw this movie I was in 5th grade. You know I've read alot of book's and stories

from people in the UFO community about

how the government tell's the truth about UFO's and aliens in an undercover fashion by putting it in a movie or a cartoon. I've always wondered was Flight Of The Navigator really some kid's real life story that Disney made a movie about? This movie was truly ahead of it's time!

  • Music is out of this world

  • I love this movieeee, DAMMNNNN IM 26 years ....... i wish i was ten again lol

  • Nice job!

  • i got this vidio a few months at king soopers

  • Wow, I remember seeing this when I was six back in 87, thanks for the fond memories. The Tamaxion Drone Ship graphics was way ahead of its time. A cult classic for us Gen Y ers.

  • much appreciated, as this is one of my favourite movies! would a typical 20 year old have heard of this movie? not at all.

this is an underrated classic, and im glad you found it.

i've always loved the end credits where they fly through the changing skies with that dope track. i even taped the music on to cassette back in the day. all good now as i have the cd.

  • I'm 20 and I saw this as a kid, it's still one of my favourite films to this day.

  • Amazing film and amazing music, just dont make em like this anymore, shame!

  • I love how his haircut is so inconsistent in this movie. They've gotta sell these songs on itunes!! "How come Starsky & Hutch isn't on?"

  • Boom i love it:D:D

SJP is fit in this lol

  • This movie is dope. The 80's had quite a few really good movies, the kind they don't make anymore.

  • I really enjoyed this video! I saw this video in the 80's. Thanks for reminding me of the good old days. My kids are now curious to see the movie. So now I gotta hunt for it. Thanks again! Great job!

  • That was a sexy mix!

  • Sweet music from a great film - Happy memories of being a kid in the eighties.

By the way, I know it's the same composer but did anyone else ever notice the music from 4.28? It's exactly the same tune - albeit up tempo as that in the opening scene in Young Guns II where it shows Billy and the gang riding through the desert?

  • What is the name of this song?

  • what a tune at 3.50, they should start playing that at cream fields

  • This movie and music gives me such a great 80s feeling. Love 80s movies.....Wish I could go back for a few weeks to that decade.

  • Me too.
