  • I had a bloodspatter Charvette that my wife bought off a Jonesing dopehead for $50. I kept it about 6 months and sold it because it was plywood. I kick myself in the ass for selling it every day, it was a freaking good guitar. I don't give a damn what guitars are made of anymore as long as they sound decent. I've had half a dozen DAMN GOOD plywood wonders I didn't keep because of my ego. Wish I had 'em back. :( . Especially my Vantage flying V. That fucker ROCKED.

  • Charvettes were the Squier of the Charvel line. That's a really cheap Floyd knockoff and it's a plywood body. If you like it it's cool but that's a $75 guitar/

  • Is this the original Floyd rose,Im asking because i can get one of this guitar sbut the tremolo is broken can i replace it with another one or will not be able to get in place.Tnx

  • mines the one made with Basswood and has the HSS set up

have to replace the floyd on it cause the fulcrum lips broke and shattered -.- gonna save up for the Floyd rose pro series floating trem

and replacing the humbucker with a Seymour Duncan alternative 8(I hate actives and EMG's)

  • they we're all made out of plywood in korea except the ones with an actual floyd style trem which are basswod and from japn the fort worth was the po box the japanese company that bought charvel used.

  • i just found a used one for 123 paying it off :P its alittle beaten up but im gonna repaint it

  • Jason..

  • sup?

  • I have the same guitar and I just finish a neck and pick up settings. With 2 pick ups , she sounds like a gibson and with only the bridge pick-up, sounds like an esquire!! Gotta love il!!!

  • Right on, I agree. These were some very well made guitars for sure and worth quite a bit usually. Ill probably have to sell mine soon unfortunately.

  • i have the same one with 3 pu's. actual they aren't made in usa at all, most of them in korea i guess.

  • they're fort worth in the usa. you can see if they were made in korea. just watch the inlays on the 12th fret...

and if your charvette has 3 pu's its not the same. lol there are different models.

  • pretty sure most were made in korea, definately not fort worth except for maybe the plate. They were the cheaper of the imports (some laminated plywood), while the japanese made charvel imports were actually very, very high quality instruments.

still a cool, good guitar though.

  • @lazychump i own a Japanese charvette, abosolutly amazing guitar for what i got it for.

  • i have the same guitar,if your wondering why i have 2 humbukers, its cause i drill in the wood for my emgs

  • Nice, they seem to be built like a tank. I suppose you had to repaint since routing causes chips/etc. Cool guitars but Im afraid Ill have to sell mine soon since I just have too many.

  • actually yeah,i changed all the electronics and i repainted, anyways i was already gonna..yeah me too its time i sell some of mine, but since the charvette is my first i got when i was 12 i wont sell it. i like your mask lol
