the original VA of the 1987 series didn't reprise their roles, which is a shame for me because I use to watch that series & it would make the movie worth it if the reprise...good movie though
We cannot finish this once and for all, it's Turtles Forever.
Anyways, I loved the movie however if you haven't seen it then this 'montage trailer' would give a lot of spoilers and make it far too easy to interpret the plot and sequencing of the film.
I'm with you. The turtles have always had a dark feel and usually that went with the Shredder. This movie was too happy or sappy for me. I mean, the whole demon Shredder thing would have made a good movie etc.
every time that this movie airs on tv, I watch it wih the same excitment like if it was the first time I seen the movie; it's sooooooooooooooooo cool!!
I've always loved the Ninja Turtles, but I haven't kept up with the new series since they totally RUINED it with Fast Forward.
I didn't even know Turtles Forever even existed until I accidentally found it on TV this morning. I had to go, so I didn't see all of it, but what I saw was amazing (which is alot coming from me since I dislike 4Kids for several reasons except the TMNT).
WHEN THE HELL IS SOMEONE GOING TO UPLOAD THIS ON YOUTUBE?!
This movie never made me stop smiling. If Nintendo's Punch-Out!! series had one like this, it would feature plots and settings from the 1984 arcade, the 1987 NES game and its 2009 remake, and the 1993 Super NES game. Both the TMNT and Punch-Out!! franchises were born in 1984, but became better known for what they were in 1987. Now, after hearing Viacom/Nick buying the rights to the entire franchise, it reminds me of what Oprah Winfrey recently said.
The showed a window toALL the univeres of TMNT, that inclde the 2003 carton,1886Cartoon ,The Origlnal Comic, various other comic adaptaations,The live action movies, the 2007 cg movie, AND EVEN THE SHITTY ANIME SERIES!!11 Its FUCKING EIPC!!

so wait, the 80s/90s turtles, the 200x turtles, and the comic book turtles are all joining together in a movie for an epic final battle with all 3 shredders?!
nothin is more mature than a mutant banana bein defeated by Mikey peeling it. :p

Okay I'll agree with that. It is really hard to take something seriously with a name like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but still, the 2K3 show did do a good enough job at it.
Personally, I don't prefer one show over the other and unless a TMNT cartoon that balances the wacky light-hearted 80's style to dark, serious 2K3 ratio is made, it'll probably stay that way.
I'm so so so excited... It runs from 10:00a.m. till 11:30a.m. I saw a preview while watching Smallville one of my other favorite shows. :) I'm also glad I've got the day off. XD
so they aren't going to split it up! I don't think I could take having to wait a whole week for the next part... and who knows how many parts it'll be !!!!
The TMNT 2003 is going to meet the TMNT 1987 which is for kids and their going to meet the Dark Image comics which were very violent!(I SO CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THIS DUDE!)
opps My bad! I totally meant to say "MIRAGE" "MIRAGE!" i didn't spell it right.... but all that matters is that I WANTA SEE IT SO FREAKEN BADLY! ( no issues Dude!)
1984 is the year that the original comics (the really violent ones that were in black & white) started. The old cartoon that you're referring to started in 1987, but it was not the original version of Ninja Turtles, just the most famous one.
this is gonna be crazy. ive loved the turtles since i was a kid.
i wonder how many "cowabunga" yells wil be in it considering that since 03 they have tried to shy away from that. (in the 1st tmnt game based on the 2003 series, mikey will say "cowabunga!....oops im not supposed to say that anymore" lol
anyways, theres lots of talk about what chars and what versions are gonna be in...but what im really wondering is who are doing the voice overs? the ppl who did them in the original series?
I saw this "film" in San Diego during Comic-con and the special preview for a select few-- and I am STILL blown away by this "trailer"-- I can't WAIT to see it again!!!

Wow! So let me get this straight. A massive Crossover Story between the Original TMNT Comic/The 80s Cartoon/the 2003 Cartoon!? All I can say is: EPIC AWESOMENESS TO THE EXTREME!!!!!

do i see 80's shreddar teaming up with 00's turtles and mirage turltes against a giant 00 shreddar? where are the 80's turtles?! i so wished uncle phil was voicing him again
I have to agree with the fact that they over-goofy-fied the 80s Turtles, and definitely the 80s Shredder. They were goofy as all heck, yeah, but c'mon - they were still legitimate threats to eachother.
im so looking forward to this! my sons just got into the turtles! so as an 80's turtles fan girl, im so excited to watch this with him! i wonder which of us will enjoy it more?...probably me! haha!! roll on 21st Nov!!
it was goofy infact the orignal creators of the comics admit they hate it with all there might and that it trshed there concept and they even tried t pull out but contract kept the show on.
You're thinking of the live-action show, Next Mutation, with the female turtle Venus De Milo. I dunno how they FEEL about the old toon, but they made the deal so there could be toys way back when.
No i'm not they hate that to but in an interview for 03 cartoon one of them larid i belive hate dit and said that it was stupid they made the deal but the company lied and said they would respect the source they didn't.And larid and them repeatedly tried to cancell it saying that while it borught tmnt up in the world they dislike to the fullest point.
Trust me they liked the old live action cartooon just not venus they even said they at least somewhat respected there source and were planning to darker in season 2 they really liked it for that but the 80s cartoon oh they hate it! they hate it!.
You're a liar. Laird has publicly stated he never hated the 80s series, and he respected it. He just didnt like some of the directions they took with it.
not really go see huis 03 interview he said that it pretty much trashed the original image and they tried to get it back because comic rates slowed down and they were challenged by orignal fans of selling out.One of them doesn't like to even talk about any of the show's now because of the 80s show stop being such a fanboy anmd look at the facts they hated it the first fans hated it and they like this one more.
quit complaining everything started out violent either way we love ninja turtles

Sorry when you said 'Uncle' i thought you mean you have a uncle who was a original character voice actor of the 80's.

Originally, but that was only for the first few Seasons. James Avery left the Show and was replaced as the voice of the Shredder later on.

The first FEW seasons?
Avery played Shredder right up until the seventh season, he only missed three years.

Wait, so the Mirage Turtles are in this too?! Omigosh!
The clash of different animation styles looks so strange, but has a unique feel.
This is gonna be so cool!

ooooooooooh, my gawd, the Mirage Comic Turtles look epic :D

I have to agree with the fact that they over-goofy-fied the 80s Turtles, and definitely the 80s Shredder. They were goofy as all heck, yeah, but c'mon - they were still legitimate threats to eachother.

you never saw that show, have you?
DarksideEXE 2 years ago
reread my statement and of course i have. i mean it was a goofy show but not that goofy. then again it has been forever since i seen that show
thebuckrogers22 2 years ago
it was goofy infact the orignal creators of the comics admit they hate it with all there might and that it trshed there concept and they even tried t pull out but contract kept the show on.

You're thinking of the live-action show, Next Mutation, with the female turtle Venus De Milo. I dunno how they FEEL about the old toon, but they made the deal so there could be toys way back when.
GytKaliba 2 years ago
No i'm not they hate that to but in an interview for 03 cartoon one of them larid i belive hate dit and said that it was stupid they made the deal but the company lied and said they would respect the source they didn't.And larid and them repeatedly tried to cancell it saying that while it borught tmnt up in the world they dislike to the fullest point.
bartman30012 2 years ago
Trust me they liked the old live action cartooon just not venus they even said they at least somewhat respected there source and were planning to darker in season 2 they really liked it for that but the 80s cartoon oh they hate it! they hate it!.
bartman30012 2 years ago
You're a liar. Laird has publicly stated he never hated the 80s series, and he respected it. He just didnt like some of the directions they took with it.
heyarnoldsknee 2 years ago
not really go see huis 03 interview he said that it pretty much trashed the original image and they tried to get it back because comic rates slowed down and they were challenged by orignal fans of selling out.One of them doesn't like to even talk about any of the show's now because of the 80s show stop being such a fanboy anmd look at the facts they hated it the first fans hated it and they like this one more.
