This will not happen. When the theorists first started looking at this possibility there was a 1/50000 chance that this black hole would be that strong. In reality, due to virtual particle promotion energy will be taken and drained from our small black holes so quickly that it will be as if the black hole never existed. There is nothing to worry about, and this video was just a simulation of what would happen if a black hole formed at the LHC.

If Cern came out and blatantly said we will be creating black holes then there would be more of a panic instead of understanding. The LHC isnt powerful enough to create a black hole. As someone said you should worry more about the global warming because the LHC would maybe create a black hole but it wont be big enough to swallow earth. They have developed some pretty powerful instruments just so they can watch the process. If a black hole occures it would disapear almost immediately because of how little it is.
They scientists working with that project have claimed that a black hole could be generated and I agree with them. This Video doesn't make sense, Firstly. The LHC won't make a black hole large enough to do any damage, It would be so small (about the size of an atom) that it would disappear instantly.
Secondly, the black hole in the video is at the centre of earth, where as the LHC is only 100m underground.

Imo, the earth "ends" for many people every day as they die. So even if the planet did get destroyed in 2012, it would still be the same "end" as countless billions of people before us. After all, does something exist if no one can remember it? This is my version of the end of the earth.

It made no sense if you just watch the video. But this is a "prediction" of what will happen when the Large Hadron Collider hits full power. The LHC is a particle collider that scientists are using to try and recreate the "Big Bang" in miniature form. The scientists on the project say that there is a less than 1% chance that it will create a black hole when it reaches full power. This is just an illustration of that one possiblity.

well they say it will dissapear cause it a tiny size for it to swallow earth, what they didnt mention i that a black hole doesnt feed only in solid matter, it can swallow everything from gas to radiation and grow until it big enought to eat everything, but, just lets hope that one of these little monsters become stable :D

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that as soon as data on the LHC is published in a scholarly journal it is open to the world to see and critique. So yes, the LHC data (as soon as published) WILL be available to anyone.

There is no collision data yet but it will be available as well.
Although considering it will be in the millions of gigabytes downloading might not be quick.

The LHC isnt powerful enough to create a black hole. As someone said you should worry more about the global warming because the LHC would maybe create a black hole but it wont be big enough to swallow earth. They have developed some pretty powerful instruments just so they can watch the process. If a black hole occures it would disapear almost immediately because of how little it is.

They scientists working with that project have claimed that a black hole could be generated and I agree with them. I dont think it matters how much matter it is involved because a black hole is created by energy. Anyway it would be so small a human eye cant see it and it would after just a short moment end its existence. But you guy doesnt need to worry about black holes because the chanse of it happening is incredibly little. And I think the scientists knows enough to being able to state it.

you dont get me. im very scientificly oriented, really dont think im denying it just because i can't believe it. what im saying, is that atoms and protons electrons etc, have never been seen. they just guess at what the world is made of, after looking at results from magnetic tests. ofcourse atoms exist. but electrons and neutrons etc are probably different than we think of them. and higgs will be even more different. even my physics teacher admits it. dont get me wrong. lhc is great.

This Video doesn't make sense, Firstly. The LHC won't make a black hole large enough to do any damage, It would be so small (about the size of an atom) that it would disappear instantly.
Secondly, the black hole in the video is at the centre of earth, where as the LHC is only 100m underground.
and Finally, the black hole wouldn't do that, earth would be crushed, not sucked in.
