  • The future of music is here

  • If I were DC Bias, I might as well have a "My First Sony" sing-along kiddie cassette recorder that records with an external microphone and plays back, it might as being DC bias. "My First Sony" kiddie cassette recorders might be a winner, but AC bias doesn't. My Sony TC-WE305 cassette deck has AC bias.

  • Nice film on the AC Vs. DC Bias. I might being doing a film on the battle of the record changers one is my classic 1975 GE Wildcat record player Vs. the other record changers such as the Magnavox, BSR, Garrard and many others. This is the way I'm going to plan on making this video, because I might dermine to be the winner of the brand of record changers. I will be doing this film coming soon.

  • lol i know the song at 6:30 its some tony hawk game

  • DC Bias allows for a cheaper circuit. Whenever I see a magazine name on a tape deck, or a product someone is not in the business of making, I automatically think, "poof" cheap!!!

  • I agree with you! DC Bias, Ceramic Phonograph Cartridges, and CrO2 tapes. THUMBS DOWN!!!!. AC bias, diamond phonograph cartridges, and normal tapes. THUMBS UP!!!!

  • You don't like Chrome tapes?!

  • Does AC bias have an ERASE head, and DC have the magnet? I noticed the DC are more hissy.

  • Some have erase head and some have magnet. Both AC and DC bias can use either head type for erasing.

  • LOL enjoyed the casio music soundtrack

  • How can you tell the difference between AC and DC bias? I'm an electronics guy, but I'm not familiar with this term.

  • THe sound quality and background noise amout, and if it has a bias oscillator circuit in it or not.

  • will a dc bias recording playback satisfactorily on an AC machine and vice/versa.

when i was a kid we used to have some tapes made on a higher quality "mono" recorder, that would hardly play back on a (cheaper but newer) stereo machine. Just wondered.

  • They will play back on either machine, the only difference is the RECORDING type.

  • Hahaha that was AWESOME

  • I'm glad you're cooler than the average teenage boy and spend your time doing something interesting and intelligent rather than wasting your youth by obsessing over football.

    Awesome.

  • HAHA! I do notice the sports obsession many people have!!

  • did you make the song with the organ, about AC Bias, thats fantastic, and cool vid!! some nice examples of different recorders in there. How did you make the music, that is very cool music

  • I used an old Kimball organ that BARELY works-most of the functions don't work, the beats and bottom keys still manage to operate. I used my Wollensak 2590AV cassette recorder with a mic laid next to me sitting and made the song. My mom and me are always wanting the organ fixed...

  • AC BIas, DC Bias, what kind of Bias do you have. Thats real catchy! that should be a song :)

  • I did make a full song, but not much of it is on this vid. I might make a vid for the song.

  • Cute video! I like seeing all your different machines and which bias they have.

I have a definite bias - one in favor of old tape recorders! Not sure if that's AC bias or DC bias! But it's better than no bias at all.

    You've got a nice collection!

Anymore Bad Bear shows coming up?

  • I don't know when I'll do another Bear show, but I will do more I plan. I guess your bias would be "TR bias"-tape recorder bias!

  • I think that the AC and DC bias champs should have a bout!! We were introduced to them in this video, but they didn't really seem to have any part in it at all.

  • hehe, awesome!

  • I like how you have your recorders synced so they sound like they're talking to each other.

  • Haaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha!!!! This is your funniest video!

  • So far, this is the funniest video you made! LOL

    make more!

BTW, modern technology and poor decisions from radio DJs have made me very "biased" about opinions regarding the radio. Because just trust me on this, you will be so much more satisfied obtaining music the more modern way.

  • why will he be more satisfied getting music the modern way? he has a 6 disc CD changer he hardly uses?

  • OOPS I meant @ 3:13, not 10:01.

  • WOW! You had the classic Panasonic RQ-309DS!

  • OMG @ 10:01 My mom had that tape recorder when I was growing up.

  • hahaha good song in the beginning word up by cameo good song, Korn covers that song, my school one of the ones i went to had tape recorders like the GE one at 2:42, lol rap music on that little machine at 7:06

  • I hope Ricky didn't record that Cameo song off the radio, because it woulda been pointless since the song is so common, that you can get it elsewhere easily. KILL UGLY RADIO!

  • i use seeqpod dot com to get music but i have many ways to get mp3s

  • I like biased opinons and biased decks!

  • Well, if you think my opinons about radio are "biased"; since I have been protesting the concept for have crummy music, eventually your opinions about radio could become biased too if the music you like loses support on the airwaves too!

  • Just about EVERY comment you make is about hating radio!!! Although I still record off radio lots!

  • It's a Sears radio from the '70s, it is DC bias and in bad shape-no anntenna, squealy motor that when squealing runs slow, and no battery cover.....

  • what kind of radio is that at 2:45mins? when i was very little used to have a sanyo radio silimiar to that with a vu meter.

  • What a funny film on the AC Vs. DC bias. I should do that sometimes.

  • Hilarious!
