Hi miss Teresa, Thank you for all these tips that you took the time out of your precious day to show to us. I have been croching since i was 13 years old,But my problem is that i cannot read the book, no matter how hard i try.My husband told me that it's like music, some can read the notes and some can't, but i have a few books, and i would to to how if you can help me to crochet a bathsuit 2 pieces.I love you thank you again.God bless.
I love to watch your videos......I am a 37 year crocheter......I have an afghan from a cousin who made it from a kit that was given to her as a gift years and years ago.....she DOES NOT have the pattern any more and I love this pattern.is there a way to send you a picture of this afghan to try to figure out the pattern...
ur vids r very helpful...i was taught that when u crochet u r supposed to have two lines on the top an one on the bottom but u do it the reverse way. is there a right an wrong?
@Its0all0behind0me Thank you. I am not sure what you mean by two lines on the top. I can tell you that as long as you are able to achieve the stitches and you are happy with it, that is all that matters. There are many different techniques with crochet.
Hi Teresa! I've finally finished the main portion of my baby afghan! This is so exciting as this is my first crochet project! Anyhow, I haven't the slightest on how to make a border. I know, I know, silly right? I can't figure it out! Do you have a video tutorial that can assist?
Do you have instructions for a baby afghan using the puff stitch? If I just make one without a pattern, could you tell what hook and yarn to use, about how many chains to start with and should I single crochet around it to finish? Thanks in advance.
You could use a size I/5.5mm hook, 4 ply yarn and start with a chain of 120. You may want to consider using one or two double crochet on each edge, so you will have a straight edge if you are using a single crochet edging.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions! I am keeping notes on the new things I learn from you so I can refer to them when needed. Thankfully, we all have your wonderful videos to learn new things, improve on what we think we know, and also to refresh our memories as needed! You are a JEWEL!!!!
I'm having trouble with this stitch - when I try to pull through all the loops I get in a tangle. Do you know of anything I can do to make it easier to complete the stitch?
Ok this the stitch I would like to use for my girls hats. Now, When I do my increases can I not add the extra chains and double stitch in order to keep the hat more closed off from the air? Reason why I am asking its because I am not sure how to do the increases with the puff stitch. I hope this all made sense. Please let me now. Thank you so much. You are so inspiring. I have made five beanie hats because of you. I really need to show you my work.
What you can do is incorporate this stitch into a hat pattern that is already made like the beanie cap, find a pattern made completely out the puff stitch or make your own pattern. I would suggest replacing a single crochet every so often with a puff stitch. That will keep the cap closed tight from air.
I started my baby blanket (Puff Stitch). my first crochet project ever. and am now halfway there. believe me it looks absolutely great thanks to you. x
Hi Teresa. How to you start puff stitch in the round and increase? One of my friends wants a baby hat made in this stitch and I have got no idea!

how can i change colour .after each rows of puff
rituvip 1 year ago
@rituvip You will cut the yarn at the end, pull the yarn through and secure. Then you will attach the new color of yarn with a slip stitch to secure.

A border can be anything. I have some short tutorials on adding a border to a square. It would be done the same way.

do you have to have 9 loops? can you do a puff chain with only like say 4 or 6 loops?
pheonixphire 3 years ago
You don't have to do that many if you don't want to. I have done it with less. It creates a little different look and it just won't be as full.

Practicing is what I will recommend. Your yarn does not have to be real tight around your hook either.
tjw1963 3 years ago
Thank you for answering that! You are so good!

is this like a different variation type for a cluster or bullion
OuijaGurl 3 years ago
It is the puff stitch. I will be showing the bullion stitch soon.
tjw1963 3 years ago
you are they are different before your video for a good stitch my roll stitches looked like the puff
OuijaGurl 3 years ago
It is easy to become confused with the crochet stitches because there may be several names for one stitch.

tjw1963 4 years ago
to make a baby blanket with how many chains do you think i should start with using this stitch.
angiejoe123 4 years ago
Between 100- 150 chains for a baby blanket. It depends on how big your yarn is and how big your hook is.
