Geez, what a blast from the past,. This song was all over the radio right around the same time I had my first broken heart. Need I say that I was a weeping, shuddering mess every time I heard it...and i STILL wouldn't just get up and turn off the damn radio! Such a masochist I was at the time. Of course I know NOW that he didn't mean to break his promises...he was just incapable of keeping them at that stage of our lives. Ah, youth.....

I remeber this song from 1979 when my brother died. This song came on the radio and my Mom had to pull over because she was crying so hard. To this day it reminds me of my brother who died at the age of 20.
