Deuteronomy 14:21, we find the Law on unbled flesh states, "You (Jews) shall not eat anything which dies of itself. You may give it to the alien who is in your town so that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner." We see that the law on eating unbled flesh and pouring out the blood applied ONLY to the Jews, since aliens and foreigners (Gentiles) were free to eat of it. It was in the context of the nation being separate and not do what the gentiles did around them.

I think not allowing one to have blood to keep them alive is one of the most cruel things about the Jehovah Witnesses movement.

Even Judaism, which received the commandments and had them for thousands of years, won't go that far.

If the manufacturer of a car says don't use diesel it's not for that car, YOU would listen to those directions, right?? WELL, then, HOW MUCH more so if GOD-the creator says DO NOT USE BLOOD.Each persons DNA and hormones, plus any diseases, known or unknown are in THAT BLOOD!! YOUR body has a high chance of rejection.ABOUT 50% of people who get a transfusion die from complications of 'rejection' within a year!

People ask yourself as a JW...if the apostles at the time would follow Russell (start of the JW) - would they be following the truth? if not - then show me in the bible how this compares with GOD has put in place to lead..Doesnt add up now does it..

HOW about the apostle PAUL,who even approved of the death of STEPHEN! He was turning in the disciples,being very cruel to them,DRAGGING them out of their HOMES! MANY disciples were ungodly and came to an accurate knowledge of truth-and now we serve Jehovah and preach the good news about God's name=keep it holy and the kingdom is coming-Matthew 6:9,10

I can't believe how many times their beliefs have changed. But I don't think anyone should hate the Witnesses... they got involved with the Watchtower simply because they were so desperate to believe in something. They're just misguided, and of course not allowed to question things without being labeled or ostracized.

Why would it say that next if it isn't good for us to follow those things! Flip flop light does make my faith stronger. There are lots of prophecies about the sun moon and stars. Do you think these prophecies are about the literal sun moon and stars. Look at the dream Joseph had. (Genesis 37) The sun moon and stars symbolized people. The moon was joseph's dead mother Rachel. Since she was dead how did the moon bow down to Joseph?

WTGB- You're not a Witness. Daniel 12:3 says that God's people will be like the Sun Moon and Stars. Look at the moon. The light flip flops regular as clock work. Also look at all the spots and blemishes. They are so big and so many that you can see them with the naked eye 216,000 miles away. Yet the bible says that God's people will be like them. Those that stumble over these things are those that idolized God's channel of light as if God's channel was flawless like the Lord.

I am beginning to realize that no rational, accomplished, educated, intellectual, critical thinking individual would ever think of joining the WT. I guess that is why they try to keep their members from higher education and academia. Of the 20 or so JWs I know, not one of them even have a bachelors degree. I cant think of one JW Dr. or lawyer either. Coincidence? I think not.

All of the commands in the Bible are about ownership or possession.

God alone has the right to give and take life.. the life of an individual is in the blood.

When Jesus ordered the 11 to partake of his blood and flesh, on that sacred night...they were horrified. As good Jews, this was repugnant to their dietary laws.

Modern JW's concede that offering or taking an organ in transplant is a conscience matter.

Blood, is a liquid organ offered by others.. not taken by force...

The scripture is vague and could be interpreted different ways. How did they get to Albumin is OK, but Plasma is not? Out of 1 out of context verse.

I think "godly respect for life and blood" is a good logo Leonardo..it's just this application takes the argument flip side.

If a person CHOOSES to give an organ/blood, to donate...that is their act of love..the same as Jesus CHOSE to give his life blood and body for us. Because he CHOSE to give we have the honour to ACCEPT.

That is the whole poin, giving and sharing, not theft and murder in order to obtain something that is not rightfully yours but Gods.

Acts 15 in particular is a command to Christians on several vital issues... if you aren't a Christian,... fine, at least research why their decision on the matter was taken.
