  • you will never be a billionare

  • Tips? Not needed for you. I really like your mix and setup.

  • You have a nice setup there. I just ordered these tables too cause they seem amazing. You should work on matching the phrases of the song better not just the beat. Manually matching the beat takes some skill but once you figure out how to get the phrases (4/8/16 bars) lined up it will sound more cohesive. There are some abrupt transitions that dont work well either IMO. Theres nothing wrong with changing a song abruptly it just needs to sound rock solid not like it was possibly a mistake.

  • Sweet set up bro! Keep it up. Nice music

  • hi mate, could you please send me your mapping? I tried, but I jus can't get it completly right :/ you'd save me alot of time!

  • Hi, I have a set of denon 1200s, using midi on my pc laptop. I have tried to midi map my buttons so that one is a flanger, beat grid and say back spin. But when I hit the button eventually it goes all wrong. any chance you can msg me with details on how too, cheers

  • Sorry, I don't have any experience with 1200s, you should contact Denon or VDJ to see if they can help you with mappers or firmware update.

  • should do a song list mate! :)

  • I will when i get the chance.

  • YePpz!....Soundz Badd!

  • Where did you buy DN-S3700? Plz answer

  • online store, i think it was on eBay with good price before Christmas.

  • Nice mix, nice set up i dont really like usiing the sync button on these i still listen by ear. But i been dj'ing since 1994. I wish they had this kinda of set up when i started all i had was tons of milk crates of records. Lol if you listen to some of my mixes you can tell which songs were on vinal.

  • Thanks, yes, you are correct sync but sucks 75% of the time... I use pitch bend on these CD players to match the tracks it is the best efficient way I found to mixing two tracks. That's cool man, I started djing with CDs in 1998!

  • I beleive what Kush was saying is the last manual skill in DJing has now been removed and DJing is now down to just playing music.

I agree the sequence and order is important for a set, but there is no longer

any challenge in making a set, at least, in my opinion as beatmatching

    still requires attention and focus.

    Clean setup though...

  • The manual pitch adjustment on the 3700s suck anyway. We should focus on beat matching, reading the crowd, and mike skills, there’s more to djing than pitch match. Packed dance floor for hours is what skilled dj should be able to do!!

  • wow ur quite the DJ... keep pressing that "sync" button lol

  • I get it, if I don't adjust the pitch manually that means I am not a good dj. Wow dude this is 2011 get with the technology. I am sure you wash your clothes by hand too, and ride your horse to work.... I have the sync button, I will use it all day long that's why we buy new equipment.

Have a nice day real DJ with manual pitch adjustment, wow I want to watch you adjust that pitch you are so cool and old school DJ.

    thanks!

  • @KushPizzaSleep lol its one thing changing the pitch with a computer, its another letting the computer beatmatch for u....

  • Can you still use the effects from the mixer or do you have to use the virtual dj effects? For e.g. - the mixer has reverb but VDJ does not, so if i selected reverb on the mixer could i use that effect on a song that is playing in VDJ? Thanks :)

  • yes, you can use mixer effects with the 3700s.

  • hey dj e i have a mac i use the same setup except for the mixer and i use the midi mode and the effexts dont work on my set up like the eco and the flange and is there any lantancy because i have some in the program or should i use the hybrid mode for vdj 7

  • @triplezoehiphoptv22 I had the same problem as you my dns3700's not working with virtual dj, the problem was my laptop to 2GB DDR, I tried everything its not work, and I decided to install it on a laptop 4GB DDR, now it works perfectly, everything works perfectly.

  • Try to get ASIO drivers, it makes a whole lot of difference, thats why people use Serato SL

  • @DJKAVELLYMUSIK vdj no need sound card mate

  • is the platter moving?

  • @gcastro723 lol where the fuck are you from, dns3700 are the only moving platter on market, with hybrid mod, and usb control scratch like real vinyll... and cost 799$ everywhere...you can buy pioneers, and wast 100000000000000$ if you want

  • @muaythaibest1 i meant is the platter moving with VDJ, dont gotta get an attitude dude, and personally i try to stay away from Pioneers, fuck that. but yeah i got these coming in

  • @gcastro723 sorry didnt mean to be...

Anyway yeah platters are working with vdj..i want to buy platters wish they sell them

  • yo i have a mac how do i get the software for my computer like the one u have on yours. also how do u get your music im a beginner at the dj bizzz plzz help a nigga out man lol

  • It’s working fine; I have been using the system since 1/2011 and have no issues.

    DJ-E

  • Watch my other videos; I am using sound cards on the CD players. No external sound card.

  • hey bro what the difference between midi mode n hibryd mode??

  • Bottom line is more versatility and function. Now you will not need to occupy your thumb drive or CD slot just to play the time code required to control your DJ software, you will use the supplied built in time code of the 3700 and this will leave the CD slot, and USB slot available to use either CD's or a hard drive with MIDI use at the same time.

  • Search Google for "Benefits of Hybrid MIDI mode"

    DJ-E

  • If you are testing it..test it well..u are only..using the effects and looping on the mixer and the player...try..skraching..for us to see if it works

  • If you are looking for scratching test on the DN-S3700 I would say search for scratching on DN-S3700. I don't scratch on my gigs, I mix music and beat match and my interest is in mixing and using effects. The other thing that I was testing was system stability under mixing conditions, for some reason the sound will drop or cutout when mixing and looping track.

  • ROCK ON BRO!!!!!!!

    FROM:NADA >3

  • tracklist?

  • ROCKKK ON!!

  • U ARE AMAZING DJ!!!!!!

    LOVE YAA!!!!!!!

  • Could you tell me what the correct settings are for Virtual DJ 7.0.2 are? I have the 3700's and VDJ and I have not been able to make these work together in hybrid mode. Any help you can give is appreciated man! thanks. promo@tks-net.com

  • Will not work, based on the last conversation I had with VDJ & Denon the hybrid mode will not work properly with VDJ. At the time I was able to make it work half ass on one deck. Denon tech support Martin told me he will call me when he gets it figured out. I am currently not using hybrid mode. Sorry, I wish I could offer you some help at this time I have no new information. However, I am using it in midi mode and I am not having any issues.

    DJ-E

  • Please make sure you are using the latest software revisions:

    My system on 3/11/2011

Latest Plug In’s: (v2020) with new Hybrid MIDI Mode!

Latest Plug In’s: (as of Nov 26, 2010)

DENON DJ ASIO Driver update (v2.10)

    VDJ 7.02

  • This is my next setup if you use the x1600 for your sound card can you switch from midi mode to cd or usb mode on the 3700? thanks Isaac.

  • Technically yes and have tested it with no problems; however I have had some issues on some occasions. In addition, you have to reassign vdj to deck 1 and deck2.

    Thanks,

    Eric

  • Are you alright dude, do you want a glass of water? Do you spend your time trash talking other people videos? Did you pay attention at the beginning and the end of the video? I said I am testing my new system, when you test something you grab different tracks and try to mix them on the fly. Try different effects, plus the video got chopped from 27 minute mix. People like you will spend two weeks rehearsing a mix then posted it on you tube to show off.

  • I want to say thank you for spending the time to watch my video!!

  • omg you are horrible you suck man! seriously and VDJ isn't the program too use...you want a good program use TRAKTOR or SERATO! seriously man you need too know do better on your transactions! you cant mix "shorty wanna ride with me......you brake it...and go into ice cream paint job" NO YOU CANT I'M SORRY YOU SUCK!

  • You run your mouth, I checked you page and your mixing sucks ass big time you fade one track into another WTF. You trash talk and you don't know jack shit about mixing. Are you 12? I have dance floors packed for hours in clubs and private gigs, you are just a child.

  • 4:17 too 4:19 complete silence for those quick 2 seconds NOT GOOD EITHER!

  • I'm sorry but your transactions are horrible! and you use your effects too much! like flanger or jet whatever it is...but i love the light classy hahaha!!!

  • you can tell me what cables i need it and where i can buy it ?? thanks.

  • 3 USB ables to connect each unit to the computer

Connector 1: USB Type A Male (rectangle) to the computer

Connector 2: USB Type B Male (square) to the device

  • thanks for helping me. I have a question I have the same setup. when I hook up my 3700's to my laptop and activate midi mode. the tracks play very fast. What am i doing wrong?

  • No problem, I don't know about that one. If you connect the system like I did you should not have that issue. You need to give me more information on how you connected your system to VDJ. are you using 7.0.2?

    DJ-E

  • @ericfisher100 I fixed it. I updated my vdj to the 7.02 and Updated my 3700's to version 2020 Also I changed my jog pulse to 1480 which took care of the decks playing fast.

  • Sounds good, let me know how everything work as you test the system with the new settings.

  • @ericfisher100 did you see the video I sent you. I replied with a video clip of my setup?

  • I did see the video today, I am glad you got the system working properly. Have fun with your new system, good luck.

    DJ-E

  • @ericfisher100 thanks for your help

  • Dope mix bro, seriously,,heres my question, I can spin records, and I can operate VDJ but how do you link the 2 together, is there a special interface u buy? And also how are you pulling up your tracks? I didn't see you switching on the laptop much or do you have cd's in those decks? Peace

  • What you see in the video is 2-DN-S3700 that are connected to virtual dj via USB and acting as midi controllers. In addition, I have the DN-X1600 mixer connected to the computer via USB as midi and working as my sound card.

I don't know what equipment you have, so I cant tell you how to connect it to vdj. I am using the music on my computer hard drive and using the DN-S3700s to select music on vdj.

    Thanks,

    DJ-E

  • hey there ericfisher , i was wondering , how did you set up your mixer ? is it connected to your cd payers ? or do you use some kind of soundcard ?

  • In the video I am using the sound card on the Denon mixer, the 3700s as midi controllers.

1- Connect the 3700s as Midi controllers

2- Connect the mixer DN-X1600 as midi sound card

You can also use the sound cards on the 3700s and use the mixer just for controlling sound out to your speakers.

Let me know if you need more info and I will make a video talking about the two options and why you should use each one.

    Thanks,

    DJ-E
