wow, that was nostalgic. 1970's was a mixed time for me. The adults were groovy and hip in the early to mid-seventies (as I remember). I remember my aunties wore big platform shoes. They were always falling and twisting their ankles in them. They had hand punched leather bags and belts and wore flared jeans and no bras. I had a hard time with bullies at school so that era was hard for me in that respect however, so I can't say it was 100% great times personally that is.
I have always wanted to see this Jaffa's ad again. I thought it was lost forever. I remember the band being so cool at the time. What year was it exactly. They epitomised the fun, hip 70's. Well done!
Awesome, I remember this one now, what a beauty. Have you got any more please? The Fancy Nancy Fanta Ad with Johnny Farnham. The Uncle Sam Deodorant Ad, the Levi's Sneakers ad, the hippy AMOCO Ad???????? Keep em coming!
LOL, I have a record of the AMOCO ad. "Amoco in my machine...nice clean amoco..." This would have been one of the first ads I ever saw in colour and it was in late 1974.
Thats the one, were they in an open top vintage car driving through a field of daisies? I'm wondering if there was a whole series or just this particular one I am thinking of that played that particular tune. Could you maybe post the music on YT with some simple visual or something? That would be awesome.
Well maybe it does go like that. I not too certain and no expert :) I do have another in the series I can upload to you tube for your viewing pleasure, but it has a different song. I think it is the B-side of the other Amoco song on that single.
Would love to hear the original song again, the visuals are not important. If you send me an mp3 of it I'll make a video to go with it. Let me know and I'll give you my email, cheers, Tracy.
I can't unfortunately transfer from a 45 to a digital media. I'll ask around and see if someone I know can do it. Did you see the one I uploaded? I know it's not the one you want though but you may have remembered it.

You don't see Jaffas in stores anymore, at least not where I am. Could only find them in a corner shop.
