  • thanks for the info, coz i've been thinking about getting one. very helpful

  • i have this gun!

  • Nice review, thanks for the information.

  • what does "arsenaled" mean exactly? my cz has 2 divits... my barrel is heavily pitted how much will changing it affect the accuracy?

  • @dirtTdude by arsenaled I mean, recondishioned, refurbished, sent back to the weapons arsenal and inspected and parts replaced as needed.

  • @locknloadvideo thanks! I got the new barrel for my cz, changed it and did some testing... changing the barrel does not seem to affect its accuracy

  • I think the subgun ammo is a myth.

  • @Gungeek Really? I guess Ive never chronoed it nor pulled bullets and weighed the powder. Seems like the stuff on the 8rd strippers has quite a bit more felt recoil though. Why do you say that?

  • @locknloadvideo The Czech steel case stuff on chargers I find have the bullets and case stuck together and that drives up the pressure.I put them in my die and brake them apart.

  • @locknloadvideo

I think its a myth too. What sub-gun takes 8rd strippers? Its also a recipe for disaster to make special loads like this. I think there's just really poorly made surplus ammo out there.

Also, its been proven that the cz-52 is not as strong as the TT-33. Just look how thin the chamber is! CZ-52's are quite weak! I still love the gun though!

  • @OCofthe3 The TT-33 borrows the weaker browning tilt barrel mechanism designed for lower pressure .45ACP and 9mm rounds. The CZ-52 borrows its cam lock design from the MG-42 which is one cannot argue about the rigidity of that design. Russian 7.62x25 ammunition for the PPSH was far hotter than those intended for the TT33.

  • @ChrisPenta I can argue that the CZ-52 is not a MG-42 and no comparison should be made between these two weapons other than how the mechanism works. There are 2 problems with the 52. The first one is how thin the bottom of the chamber is. The second is how all of the recoil forces load into the slide. I shot mostly Romanian ammo through my 52 and I developed a crack on the slide starting from the ejection port. This is not uncommon. Search around, the 52's strength is a myth.

  • @OCofthe3 I am in no way saying these guns are quality pieces, I just have had the chance to work with both the TT-33 and the CZ. The CZ's were made from competent gunsmiths, the TT-33s were made from what amounts to slave labor (out of cheap stamped steel no less). The roller mechanism allows it to shoot high pressure ammunition much like the MG.

  • @ChrisPenta Also, Glock borrows this same tilt-to-lock action and uses it on their 357 sig chambered guns.

  • @locknloadvideo It certainly is not a myth. The subgun ammo was used in the PPSH, and (when you can find it) it packs about 200 FPS more than the standard stuff.
