@goldendragondog90 What are you talking about? The song is not "off pitch" I just bought the Scott Pilgrim Soundtrack and was very intrigued by this song. So much so that I replayed the song about six times while driving in my car. I had a hard time really figuring out the lyrics and had to listen to it again at home. The lyrics are r epetative but as far as the pitch goes, it is spot on.
@TheGreyguitarist Im sorry for the outburst i watched the credits of Snow Cake and it turns out it was a pitch higher because that was the first time i heard it Sorry about that:)
When I heard this song playing faintly in the background I could've sworn this was Lykke Li (obsessed w/ her), but it's not at least I've found another great singer to listen to now.
@Vacheresseb why do you care if a song you like was in a movie? big whoop... maybe more people know about it... so what. it's not like it's on TV all the time with vapid little teenyboppers talking about it (O my gawd, this song is like so good). Don't ever let a songs popularity change what it means to you... i've loved songs that got big but i knew that NO ONE else would know those songs in the same way that i do. Just hold on to that :)
Thought this was such a creepy song at the beginning, so I always skipped it when I listened to the soundtrack. One night I had the soundtrack playing in the background and didn't notice this song had come on. Suddenly, I was like "Where did this awesome music come from?"
Something about books and covers comes to mind... *shrugs*
i love this song! if you really like the band you should check out the movie Snow Cake. they scored the whole thing. for me the best movies of 2010 were Harry Potter, Kick-Ass, and Scott Pilgrim
The first time I've seen the movie, I really wasn't paying attention to this song. When the blu-ray came out, I actually heard and I couldn't believe I didn't realize this somewhat peaceful song at the movies.
Why is it always off pitch!

What a beautiful song...I didn't like it too much at first, but it grew on me more and more. It's soothing in it's own way

Used to be the one of the rotten ones
And I liked you for that
Now you're all gone, got your make-up on
And you're not coming back
