@TheL3xusV3 I meant it a joke motherfucking retard but guess you're too stupid to get the joke. ASSHOLE I"M GOING TO KILL YOUR ASS. BANG BANG see ya in hell.
I would love to have had a muscle car or some big ass Dodge Ram to drive down that road during that time. They would've been shitting their pants seeing these loud and monstrous vehicles drive down the road! Oh and all the while playing heavy metal or gangster rap music while I'm driving! I'm just acting crazy guys. I would love to see their reactions though!
so was this taken on a trolley? its creepy seeing how many of these people died a year later...i don't know how to explain it other than its just eerie.
This is remarkable. At 5:01 watching the horse drawn wagon crossing ever so slowly over the tracks really shows how life at that time bridged two different worlds, the old world of the bygone 'wild west' and the emerging world of industry and technology. But I guess every generation is a bridge from old to new. Also love the music and at 4:51 when the boy jumps in front of the car and 'races' it down the street. Thanks for sharing.
wow..the now wellsfargo bank ....hey hey thank you u u !..music awesome!..video awesome!..not problem with fixing stuff...like its says...to all those souls...pity!...cause they are not here anymore and also yeah they died in the earthquake..now the next time when I go to SF I'll remember this video, all these people, and children, and horses,,,clothes, culture..sniff..thank you
Don't be sad. We all get to spin on this world for a while. It was what they did while they were here that counted. Just as what we do while we are here counts.
5 generations just like that one came and exited. Enjoy life and do good, right?
wow!...I am pride..I didint know....thank you to decode it...cause many people asked me about that..but I even didint know what does it means...lol..thank you again!
Hi, wanted to know where did you get the meanning of my login..I 've been researching and nothing!..looks like kind of german or van helsen!..dont know!!
hilarious. i was born & raised in sf and it's interesting to note the driving hasn't changed much in 100 years. well, less horses, more hippies now i suppose... though they both snarl traffic & foul the streets about the same!
there all just getting on with it and making the most of what they got , how many travel offences are being made here? at least they had some freedom to what we have today , get fined for farting these days heh
Actually a sizable number of people were run over by horses and cars, so the lack of organization and freedom had its cost. Of course people were more responsible for their own safety.
Additionally they were getting on with it but one year later many died in an earthquake.
You should also note that life expentancy for males was 48.4 and females was 51.8.
Employers treated people terribaly back then. It wasn't better, trust me. Grass is greener theory.
I am surprised at the number of automobiles. Not just little one and two cylinder cars, but many high dollar large touring cars as well. I was fortunate enough to inherit my fathers 1910 buick, which we take for ice cream on occasion. Great to see the life it once led.
The crazy thing about this video is everything in it is either destroyed in the earthquake or burned in the following fire less then a year later. Plus a lot of these peope were probably killed!
Love the music added, but that is a world war one song which wasn't recorded until the late teens! There was music from 1905, check the ucsb cylinder collection online.
Looks like people weren't worried about being hit my trolleys, or cars, they were walking and driving all over the place with no caution. Obviously this was before traffic tickets.
it's pretty much still the same, just add asphalt and change the cars for subarus. driving through this street is restricted to the insane. excellent video!
In my mind, colour only started to exist in the 40's

3alarm247 3 years ago
They were very worried. Many people died from being run over as you can imagine just by looking at the video.
The modern traffic light was invented by Garrett Augustus Morgan in 1920 and street rules aparrently had yet to be defined in this video.
Still you can see several tough looking police with attitude, in the video. Must be for gun fights, stealing, drunkeness and fighting.

There is a video in the playlist that shows the earthquake that hit a year later.
