  • Shouldn't that thing sound like a jet engine?

  • how do you you make the case look like the expanded one on the box

  • how much did all of the other components cost? i mean all together including the case and such? mind sharing? it would be helpful if u do cuz im trying to build one with the same case too so please if u would i would really appreciated :)

  • If you have the ones on the bottom blowing in, and the ones on top blowing out, it should work better

  • I Wish i could build a computer in 30 seconds..

  • and you are gonna give away them fans fo free??

  • HAFX!!!!

  • hella good cable management

  • its possible to use that ca<se with all that fans as a fridge...

  • you shoot put your room temperature

  • kaze as it's written, ka and ending as in word zed without D, kaze

  • this look better than haf x

  • Comment removed

  • SA*

  • i want a thermal rite SW in mine

  • 0:36 he said doobie hehe

  • "in xf for sli" meant xf OR sli, and yes i know the gpu in there is a nVidia card

  • should have tested with the stock cpu cooler that antec one looked pretty beast alone, also should have thrown in another gpu in xf for sli, as most people putting in 15 fans would probably be using xf or sli along with an oc'd cpu for sure, problably more than one hdd too.

  • Can I work their :)

  • That box of wires was that data cables or more than data cables

  • tbh shud of done overclocking to show the significants of more fans

  • my question is to you when those fans are on can you hear your self think?

  • Comment removed

  • Would this build with the 85O watts and power an I7 chip with 2 sli gtx 560s?

  • I would like to install as fast as you..

  • So will a 750w power 2 gtx 560 ti 448's and a intel core i5 2500k and the 15 fans

  • @acemace3618 I would like to know too, currently putting that same setup together.... but don't plan on using 15 fans...

  • @acemace3618 doubt it, maybe need higher, just my opinion tho.

  • With all the fans in are there any open spaces for the air to exit?

  • @Kramer7969 Yep, that is the entire point. But the gaps aren't so big that it will not have posative pressure.

  • i don't think this case is worth it...I mean it looks like a mess inside id rather go with a Corsair 650D

  • So do you have the fans blowing in cold air into case. Or sucking the hot air out of the case

  • @blackspringer1 blowing in to create a pressure inside the case to force hot air out of any gap in the case.

  • speeds measured in celsius, haha

  • @icannotfly it's what we use in the uk :P

  • Dust dust dust :S

  • @teapackni nope nope nope :D

  • He should have tested with 7 or 8 fans, half capacity, because with all 15 there isn't very much room that isn't populated with fans for air to escape, with 7 or 8 you would have about the same surface area populated by fans as surface area of mesh that air can escape out of.

Also, I'm thinking maybe have three fans on one side of the HDD area pushing and three fans pulling opposite of the push fans, possible having the original fans on the front, and having an extra fan over the CPU.

  • if i use the included 5 120mm fans will i be alright?

  • If the case didn't look so goddamn stupid I'd consider it... 650D, Here I come!

  • So, if I used a watercooling system on this, would I be able to use all standard fans? Basicly what I mean is without a huge heatsink, can I use 25mm thick fans?

  • will i have good tempertures with obsidian 800d h100 a evga card that directs air out the case and a bunch of 120mm fans

  • Is this filmed in the city of industry warehouse?

  • dsfgsdfgh

  • "install windows overnight"?

  • @pencilman222000 probably an unattended install, its for large companies like state farm

  • @elsydeon666 I'm pretty sure he's not using an unnattended install on a test build for a case test.

It's a single system, and even if he did have an unattended install it would not take this computer that long to install windows once.

  • The sheer volume of fans would probably interfere with each fan's airflow.

It's better in this case to have have high CFM fans where they are needed the most - blowing cool air to the hottest components in the PC.

  • SO fucking dumb. 6 fans blowing directly onto 1 hard drive.

  • i got this, air mounts suck. get rid of them, get urself a 5.25" x 3 hard drive cage. works awesome

  • AMD vs Intel? which one is better? I was looking at an i7 but I don't know what is the amd equaivalent

  • @abdin36 i7 all the way

  • @abdin36 The equiv is the AMD Bulldozer, which sucks dick. The i5 2500 specs higher. Get an i7.

  • I would let Paul fuck my mom.

  • @cyphr6 lol'd

  • i will play games without any computer case just let me get games for high settings

  • that computers gonna flyyyyyy

  • Will a Prolimatech Mega Shadow/Megahalem fit in this case with fans on the case in the stock position?

  • Looks great but I think its only worth it if you would be in a considerably hot room or ambient tempts without an AC in the room. It comes to a point where you have too many fans doing nothing because the temps will never go below the ambient temperature of the room.

  • @ChrisRey3156 Yes whether or not you need this case is subjective. My dorm doesnt allow me to control individual room temperature therefore I have high ambient temps when they turn the heat on during the winter. I cant even overclock because my computer cant take the heat, so in my case the extra risk of dust is worth it. But Im sure its not necessary to those with nice cool rooms.

  • I would kill for this job.

  • Look pretty sweet with the fans and it clearly keeping everything cool. Dust would seem like a bitch though.

  • Is the lanboy air full tower or mid tower.

  • @tyson2064

    MID

  • @withcookies you can get a full one

  • @tyson2064 mid

  • speeds measured in Celsius haha my cars top speed is 180c

  • where is the heatsink fan blowing air?is it pointed to the drive bays?

  • install windows over night? the fack?!

  • Will it keep my beer cold?

  • lol the case has a slide out motherboard tray for easier install that he didn't use

  • And the case doesn't create airflow in that setup, that's called turbulence.

  • Bottom Fans need to be intake, top exhaust. Test it doing that, as long as there's positive air pressure, you should notice a BIG improvement. So swap the top fans, the rear fans and the top side fans. Doing this pushes the hot air where it wants to go.

  • Did you run all the fans at max rpm though?

  • lol @ the peeps saying its a dust magnet.

Had the case for 8 weeks with a dog in the house and dont see any dust.

Theres so much airflow any dust blows right out all the wire mesh casing.

And thats with the 5 stock fans.

    Its almost common sense people...

Best case I have ever built a PC in by far....goodbye Lian Li.

  • @IOnPointGamingI Its funny because i just ordered a lian li!

  • @IOnPointGamingI

I have the same case, and although there is some dust on the outside there is hardly any on the internal components.

  • @IOnPointGamingI Ya I haven't had an issue with dust. Sure I'll get some bunnies forming in a corner or two after 8 months.

They had airflow first in mind when they made this.

  • @IOnPointGamingI shutup fanboi

  • where are ram temps and hd temps?

  • speed measured in Celsius....lol

  • I gotta wonder if you couldn't get better temps with a more standard in/out airflow layout.

  • It's meant for norwegians, because of all power the fans consume ;))

  • set it directly in front of an air conditioner and overclock overclock overclock

  • Dedicating 2 Drivebays to fan controllers... *shivers*

Kaze Q12 by scythe, all you need for this case. (and all fans but the rear fan will have knob speed controllers)

  • I believe the case is great for using corsair H80 or even for H100 as cpu cooler! don't u think?

  • how do u mount the Scythe 120mm Case Fan on of the lanboy air

  • I can build faster than him

  • He definitely should have used the standard CPU heat sink because it would have showed a more accurate result on the CPU temperature tests. The Antec heat sink just works to well for the fans to make a difference.

  • What a crap case, that thing would drive me up the wall.

  • i have 3 fans at the front... the 3rd one is same as the 2 orginal :D

  • fun and coolcomputer builds

  • THAT WASNT FAST FORWARDED HES REALLY JUST THAT FAST!!

  • can i plz have that computer!

  • -chuckles- Considering what I already know about thermodynamics and this "positive pressure" that keeps getting mentioned, the only useful thing I learned by watching this is:

    LinX - CPU,

    FurMark - GPU,

    3D Mark Vantage - Cumulative.

    Still, Newegg Frickn' Rocks!! :D

  • 15 fans to lower 2degrees ?

  • NCIX tech tips for sure,

  • Which one you like the most : newegg or NCIX(linustechtips)?

  • @abi2478 NCIX

  • @abi2478 linus for sure, but thats just because this is the first video ive seen from this channel. (ive been a long time linus fan)

  • whoever is great with computer, message me i need some help with my computer.

  • Thermodynamics is anything but simple. However, I fly R/C airplanes and we are often confronted by engines overheating that are inside a cowl. Standard practice for aircraft engine cooling is that the area for the air to flow out of the cowl should be twice the size of the intake.

It would be really interesting to point an infrared camera at the case so you could see the hot spots and what effect changing the arrangement of fans actually has.

  • wouldnt it make sence to have fans blowing out? If only to decrease the air pressure inside the case. higher pressure: Higher temperature

  • @AngryMonkeyTV You're retarded

  • The pointing all of the fans inward is problematic. Although the entire case is meshed, exhaust air will have trouble exiting the system due to the interference of intake air from the 15 fans. A traditional set-up of rear & top exhaust fans would work a lot better. Oh, and the six fans on the swing-out panels would disrupt the flow of air from the two fans on the face of the case, too. The best thing for this case is to add only 2 exhaust fans on the top--a total of 7 fans.

  • he must love his job

  • shoulda used KAZE ULTRAs.... 130 cfm of pure air pushing power haha

  • I wish I could build computers that fast. :(

  • say hello to a ton of dust

  • thumbs up if you think that an amd processor not in such a nice computer belongs

  • @007wesje your retarded

  • why a GTX 260 with that monster build? Atleast get a GTX 560ti or a HD 6870...

  • lol. "Best scores marked in green. Speeds measured in Celsius."

  • Shouldnt a case look neutral instead of looking like the bastard child of iron man and optimus prime

  • Built a computer with this case--Radeon 6970--P67 MOBO--Intel i7 2600K....so far the airflow with stock fans is fantastic. Crysis, BFBC2--they run cool with max settings. No real issues with dust yet either. So glad I bought this case.

  • Comment removed

  • @Vitchman - does it catch hold of dusts many.. ?

  • easy question; is the airflow rly good`? i Think it sucks!

  • whats the song when he's putting it together?

  • lol its a wall of fans!

  • Hey its the barf case! :D

  • dust magnet

  • @mattysavs It actually isn't i have one with 15 Fans, and all the holes on it keep it kinda dustless, i Have 3 towers, a DF -85 a DF-35 and a blue lanboy air, my Lanboy air gets cleaned every 6 months but i have to clean the other two every 2 months

  • @mattysavs what i do for my cases is I cover the intakes with swiffer wipes or whatever they're called...they catch a lot of dust

  • @mattysavs Y U NO READ? This case has so much powered airflow, it would be almost impossible for dust to settle in it :@

  • @frozenskipper Dust would settle on the outside of it, not the inside.

  • @ZetaCron Mmmmmkay then.

  • @mattysavs wheels and a handle it maybe better than a dyson

  • @mattysavs do you or have you owned one?

  • @mattysavs if you use all 15 fans its capable of, all intake fans it sends dust out

  • Awesome, a magnetic hard drive!

  • I bought the Lanboy Air and i'm confused on how to install fans on the top part of the case. Also i'm planning on getting an all in one cpu cooler like the corsair H60 so would i have to have that pointing inwards also?

  • @anonymousb37 if you can mount the rad of the h60 on the top the have all the other fans face inwards (intake)

but problem is, is that if you have a mosfet cooler on your mobo then the rad might not fight on the top, i dunno the dimensions

  • how much did it cost for all the parts?

  • Did anyone have the original/aluminum Lanboy with the blue fan grille on the front? Got it at Fry's for $20 4 years ago. Lol. :D

  • yeah ah ha,you know what it is

black and yellow , black and yellow

black and yellow , black and yellow

black and yellow , black and yellow

black and yellow , black and yellow...!!

  • The blue LED's make it run cooler!

But honestly, all of the lights and the yellow highlights are a huge turnoff. Why Antec is marketing their product towards 12 year-olds, I'll never know.

  • Damn it newegg! Don't you ever change for the worse okay!? Amazing deals almost every 3-4 days specially on PC but there are other great appliances as well .. :)

  • I think what you do by showing the video is great for the users

  • Please help me. How does he connect all of the fans?? Like at 7:17.. what is that adapter? thanks :)

  • @MegaAdamo13 its the fan controller probably

  • How's the noise level on this thing? Only thing that is still keeping me on the fence is the noise level.

  • I think I will stick with my HAF X.

  • @cbremer83 well this case is made for quad SLI/crossfire so im sure the 15 fans help a ton with that

  • @BenRSilva If I recall, it only has 8 slots. For quad SLI you need 9 slots. The top on is always empty. Depending on the mobo there is either a 1X slot there or nothing at all. That has been the standard setup on ATX and EATX boards for a long time. Also, only EATX mobo's support quad SLI. This is only a mid tower and only supports ATX. At best tri-SLI is what you can get in it. So, yeah. I will still stick with my HAF X.

  • 15 fans, thats just fucking stupid..

  • @sloergod not rly, using all 15 slots as intake fans, dust will rarely build up. i had mine for awhile with all 15 intake fans, didnt need to dust this things for months and havent yet. since i got it, its been dust free.

  • @flowingmarc But where do you live? If you live in a desert, it doesn't matter what you do (dust filters, more dust filters, and even more dust filters) dust is going to build up extremely quickly (again, even with dust filters). I can't imagine what it would be like with 15 fans.

  • @mario11168 with positive case pressure, there so much air being taking into to the case, there is no place for the dust to build up so it seeps thru out the tiny cracks in the case.

  • @flowingmarc I've been told that, but it still doesn't seem to do anything. Dust will land wherever it wants to land, and as I said, in a desert, there's endless ENDLESS dust, blowing it around only makes it worse...

  • @mario11168 then i guess in ur situation cleaning would have to be a must.

  • @flowingmarc I have to dust the front of my computer every morning so it doesn't get clogged, lol. I went to South Dakota a while ago for a month, dusted it once, and that was when I was leaving to go back to the desert.

  • results don't really prove that's it's worth spending money on 10 extra fans... kinda lame

  • Since heat rises, I wonder what would happen with having every fan pointing inwards except the top fans? I've done this on my old Antec Nine-Hundred and with my 1055 in a mild overclock (3GHz) and all fans at minimum settings (Antec Tri-speed), the CPU never gets above 45C with a CoolerMaster V8. I'm more interested in that Antec cooler though, haha. Good cooling and near silennce should be the goal for most people for enjoyable computing.

  • @sobchuk its negligible, hot air in a typical pc is only around 40C so it will only SLOWLY rise.

  • this case is awesome!

  • check out my work around on this case for filtering dust :) enjoy

    watch?v=6NasHLgdCls

  • um not going to bash newegg, but you guys didnt think all the way with the fans positioning, the airflow would have been way better if u had one side of the case bring in air while the other side takes it out.

  • @Mo11154 No, becuase it is designed for positive pressure

  • 32 SECONDS!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • newegg > tigerdirect

  • thanks for posting this

  • GTX260 in 2011 ? OMFG noobs

  • Moral of the story is Air Flow > Air Pressure, lol.

This seems like a novelty design, not an actual functional cooling system.

Overall increase in cost + noise + a PC that can light a room.

    0/5

  • @kd5eej what is the difference between air flow and pressure? every time air passes through a fan pressure increase and when ever there is air flow pressure goes down. what do you mean by it? This is actually a very good case if the fans are set up correctly.

  • @xterminator069 If I recall correctly somewhere in the video there was something about having all the fans facing inward.

And generally a case with a well designed airflow pattern and a somewhat cool source of air will perform just as good as a case with a ton of fans.

  • @kd5eej got ya. i find this case about equal if i point the rear fan outward instead plus 2 additional fans on top. i often find completely enclosed case hard to get the perfect balance between intake and output. the only thing to top this lanboy is to have a concave side panel pair with a low profile cpu hsf so the cross section area at the cpu, looking in front of the case, is the smallest. i guess a case like this can get its maximum air speed at about the the cpu heat sink.
