Believe if you use them, like all these all synth works, you can get some very cool and warm sounds, but they have to take a certain place, VST don't take place even if they sound exactly better, but some models can a very good job, Arturia's, Xils or G-force. Interesting trance version of JMJ, but the original balancing in 12-8 of that title remains more captivating like some of the sounds from Jarre's gear. Descent Job.

Hey kid, get to Toy's 'r Us and buy yourself a stunning Casio keyboard. It's obvious you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Perhaps when you grow up, you'll learn that actually turning or twisting a knob gets you more involved in the entire process of synthesis and the music project. Sure, for commercial crap, VST's will do perfectly, there's absolutely no soul in there.

@GadgetsMagazineWeb Lol You obviously have no idea the difference between analogue and VST do you? Some of those machine pictured have more capabilities then hundreds of VSTs combined. Not to mention, I've heard circuit bent Kawasaki Drum Machines with better sounds then a VST. You're a fool to think VST is the way to go for real music. Those programs have a fraction of what a real synth can do, and they charge you hundreds of dollars for that program. If anything, that's a bigger rip off.

Now that claim is a bit presumptuous. An iPhone actually more processing capabilities than perhaps all of Jarre's original studio combined.

Well, analogue sounds have a bigger amount of randomness, of course. You can still make software sound alive when you know what you're doing.

Wow that as so goooooooooooooood all those photos of the old beautiful analoge equip - Im sick of buy crap digital keyboards released here in Australia since 2000 and trying to create those old beautiful sounds, I think maybe analogoe sofware is the way to go - Th enew kursweIl, korgs, Yahama all sound so thin, so bright and all the same!!!

@Todd63790 ImpOSCar 2 is decent. The Arturia stuff isn't bad too. What are you trying to do? Not all new keyboards sound thin, try the DSI stuff, Mopho Tetr4, Prophet '08 and Evolver all have CEM analogue chips in them...take a look at videos on here of them, they stay in tune and sound great
