  • This reminds me sooo much of Fallout 3.

  • @hotdogman67 I've heard of the game. but I've never played it. Thanks for the comparison though!

  • @XOtericate

Yea, it's a very fun game. It's actually set in the year 2277, 200 years after the U.S. goes to atomic war with China which destroys the world, but it has a retrofuturistic 50's feel. It also has lots of music like this on the in-game radio. It's awesome.

  • @hotdogman67 TOTALLY!, i wish it was in there.

  • This is awesome, you did a great job with the imagery

  • @LucidNation Thank you! I don't have many videos uploaded that I assembled and edited myself, so it always means more when I get positive feedback on one of them.

  • In 23 years of collecting 78's, I've only been able to find just one Slim Gaillard 78 on the "Atomic" label. I just uploaded Slim's "Tee Say Malee" from that record. ;)

Would you mind if I posted it here as a video response?

  • I'm honored! Thank you!

  • We moved to Alamogordo, NM, in the fall of 1962; the Cuban Missile Crisis was going on. I well remember the air raid warnings, the duck and cover routine held during school. People out there had bomb shelters. My parents worked out at White Sands Missile Range. As you know, the first atomic bomb was exploded near Alamogordo. The area is known as Trinity Site and the sand was melted into a greenish glob in places. Signs on businesses said, 'Atomic' this and that. Thanks for the cocktail!

  • I've only seen old footage the atomic bomb testing, the Cuban Missile Crisis, bomb shelters, and the air raid "duck and cover" drills. Its fascinating to hear from someone who remembers all these things! Thank you!

  • How about duck walking down the hallway of school to the cafeteria to crawl under the stage and close the sliding doors after you; to sit in the dark amongst the spiderwebs and the extra folding tables? I guess that was our "bomb shelter" there and that they wanted us to keep low--never understood the duck walking bit, and it hurt my knees! We kids were as prepared as we ever could be, I suppose.

  • Kinda scary..but funny too! AWESOME! Loved the footage of I. Jones...5 stars!! :)

  • Thanks Baron! I look forward to more videos from you in 2010!

  • hey baby you and me later, Atomic Cocktails on this New Year's Eve?

  • Boom! Atomic Cocktail!

  • Great jazzy song and video! Happy New Year to you and yours, XO !!

  • Thanks yesnik4805! Happy New Year!
