  • i like them both but 'm gonna have to go with Sikth

  • SikTh without a doubt. Periphery is amazing in their own merit, but I have worked in the same studio with SikTh and have seen their genius first hand.

  • Love both bands but Sikth just have that raw madness with their dual vocals which no-one else could pull off.

  • SikTh is way more original, Periphery seems like a Meshuggah spin-off.

  • SIkTh

  • Periphery is brilliant I completely agree with opus. Periphery has succesfully drawn a lot of positive attention to metal.

  • periphery.

  • I'd say Periphery. I love SikTh, don't get me wrong, but Periphery just have a more mature and cleaner writing style. Just listen to Racecar.

  • 7:03 onwards.

    Says it all, really.

  • Ok I love both bands, but I'm gonna weigh them out for you all. SikTh's first album isn't nearly as good as their second album which knocks off a bit of their crediblity, but they bounce back with an extreme well writen and technical album that's brimming with new ideas and genre changing stuff which should never go unnoticed by any true fan of music. Periphery may only have one album, but they've made a huge wave. The show a much more thoughtful approuch to music and show progression in music.

  • @OpusArtistic

    two albums

    a 100 song demo from '04-'08

  • sikth is more original and creative in general

  • I think Sikth songs do a little better with their ambient/clean sections and Justin and Mikee bring a ton of emotion to the table. That beings said, Periphery is way more accessible.

  • periphery is better

  • Periphery's much easier to listen to. Sikth's got some pretty sick songs, but they also have some songs that are poorly put together and honestly just sound like noise. I've never heard a Periphery song I didn't like.

    Just my thoughts.

  • @ExistUNDRGROUND that piano intro was by periphery also

  • @brad67676 What was that first song of Periphery?

  • @Z1ldjiann Its called Frak the Gods. fuckin epic song.
