it may not be "Gaooow!", but given the lip flaps that Funimation had to work with, they did a REALLY good job making their own version of the dubbing (same goes for the series in general)

This anime was badly translated. It wasn't "hello", it was "grrr". The audio sounded like "gao" or "gow" because that's the way they growl.

@i3uphemism But in America our grrr doesn't sound like that. It wouldn't have matched the movement of her mouth. And either way it goes the Gao thing was use as a greeting, so saying hello really doesn't change anything(beside being less cute, but still cute none the less).

To people thinking "Roar" would have fit: The animation was made to synch with 'Gaooow' - Notice where the 'A' and 'O' in 'Gaow' is, and then where they are in 'Roar'.

For it to "work" she would have to say 'Raooor', while 'Helloooo' is smoother and logical.

Go look at yourself in the mirror and say Gaow, Roar, and Hello.
