@runningchance Good lord talk about a biking noob... i could unhook the spark plugs and run on one cylinder on my vulcan 500 and still outrun your 250cc rebel... and could give you a 2 or 3 sec head start in the 1/4 mile and still win with both cylinders going. its the engine out of the kawi ninja 500R. just tuned more for torque... so u keep riding your uhhh "scooter" lol

I have an 03 Vulcan 1600 with Vance and Hines Shotguns and let me tell ya, I got Harley riders looking at me when I gun it. That thing will pull a knot in your ass its so powerful and I only paid 10,000 for it new.

@runningchance I'll put my G/F"s lil vulcan 500 against your rebel anyday and all B/S aside it outran a VTX1800 not even a week ago the vulcan 500 it a great beginner up to expert bike I ride it to work sometimes instead of my Vulcan 900 post a reply and we can meet and race and I'm 210pounds but have your title ready I dont race for nothin.

I can't believe anyone would even try to compare the harley to much superior kaw. No stock harley can keep up with my stock 1500 kaw. Only thing I do to the bike is put gas in it and change the oil. Nothing major at all with my bike and my ride is a 1994 vulcan. Harleys are nice but buying a name is silly.

yeah, pay an extra 10k for a name/image, then your still buying aftermarket pipes and chips and handlbars and bags, for a bike with a chicken shit transmission and an offset in the timing... guess what,,,I'm putting cobra pipes on my 1600 vulcan with a P/C and I'll be barking big time, and I havent even spent 20k yet . and I eat the same fucken' wind and bugs as the rest of ya's. Well I've got bad news for the die hard harley fans, the patten ran out on harley engine back in the 90's. Kawasaki was sued by Harley Davidson for copy right infringment and lost the case.

Actually, the Honda Rebel is one of my favorite bikes. If you're looking for a bike to get you from here to there with over 65mpg, the Rebel's the thing. That seat is a killer though.

I have ridden street bikes for 24 years. I've ridden the rebel, It was a friends, and I was embarrassed for him. I've ridden a lot of bikes and none were as pathetic as that rebel.

I think the vulcan is a fine bike..I'm thinking of buying one later this year. I've owned 3 harleys and tons of trouble like a never ending nightmare...I bought a yamaha roadstar 4 years ago and haven't regretted it one day...I love the kawasaki and yamaha...What a good bike to ride. I rode from Georgia to South Dakota, + burnouts, Many 90+ MPH for most of it. I use to ride my harley down the driveway and it would go to the shop for no reason...Buy what you want..I'll stick to these bikes...

You don't need a Harley to be a man...Kawasaki makes a fine motorcycle for half the price and twice the technology, which rides smoother,handles better has less problems and goes all the same places that a Harley does.You Harley guys crack me up. Kawasaki makes crap, go with the Honda Rebel dude, it is way better any than any of the plastic Vulcans. The Vulcans are just cheap imitations of the Harley. Buying a Vulcan is like buying a fake rolex, no matter what time it is, you know you are pretending. Be original and get a Honda Rebel! I can jump more cars on my rebel than Evel Kneivel ever jumped on his Harley!
