I've just been cast as Ko-Ko in a local production. I've played Pooh Bah before, and I'm looking forward to sing some of the timeless classics like Willow, Tit Willow

Sir Arthur must be spinning in his grave!
Yes,update the production (to wherever) if you must, but to mangle Sullivan's delightful orchestrations into something that sounds like a badly out of tune fairground organ is just NOT ON!
Lord help us,no wonder people don't like G&S if this it the muck they see!
I see they have also mucked about with Gilbert's words, where will it all end.
What do I expect it's Australian after all, what do they know of culture, more in a pot of yoghurt.
Wow maybe I saw this exact production in Brisbane when I was 5 yrs old.....I was born 1989.....but I fell a sleep half way threw...oops...but watching it here on youtube I a priciated it more as I can understand the humor. xDDDDD
Its funny I just discovered videos of Australian version of this on the internet (Im used to my video of the NZ production) so I watch it and I think wow I forgot how awesome Simon Gallaher is and then I watch this version again and Im like wow I forgot how awesome Derek Metzger is lol
I LOVE the way this company produces G&S! Once one has become accustomed to the Australian accents, it's impeccable. Beautiful costumes, sets, and crystal-clear diction.
Absolutely awful. Everyone.

HannahRoseBanana017 4 years ago
Seriously? As in referring to Derek Metzger? And not just some obscure reference to the character? If option one is the case: totally awesome
ChioGaru 3 years ago
This guy's(Nanky-Poo) a much better actor then Simon Gallaher.
Better looking too if i may say.
I love these productions, my favorite musicals.

Purists, please! If G & S were alive today, they'd be writing 'Mamma Mia' and 'Cats' They would love it.
This Aussie version is great.
