No it doesn't end like this in the real piece, it's just in the movie it ends like this because vikotr is surprised by voktoria, so the people who covered it just played it like that. but elfman originally didn't write it like that

Victor's Piano Solo, it's in the movie Corpse Bride. And the composer is Danny Elfman, I think he did most of the music for that (and many other) movies.

danny elfman does score for many Tim Burton movies, like Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.. pretty much anything that has to do with Johnny Depp or Tim Burton. lol

Sondheim is a legendary composer who has created many masterpieces, including the score for the beautiful operetta, Sweeney Todd. Now when Tim Burton directed a film adaption of this work, he used different arrangements of Sondheim's music. So actually Danny Elfman had no involvement with any part of the movie of Sweeney Todd, he didn't even have a part in the arrangements. I thought you should know.
