I got my Gretsch Duo-Jet guitar controller and loved it. Though the chrome knob isn't the greatest (It has some glitches) and a piece in the strum bar snaped (so when I strum down it goes farther) I still love it!

For the limited edition set its going to run you roughly around $250. That comes with the stylized drums and bass controller. For the basic set its around $150 with normal instruments. For the Rickenbacker and Gretsch guitars, they will run about $100 each.

Well I on the other hand have had the Rock Band 2 kit since it came out, so I didn't want to spend money on the Beatles kit...but if you decide to buy the PS3 bundle with the bass, I'd gladly trade you a Gretsch for it.

@aleksandra901 Well, the bass does work as a guitar, it just has a slighter longer neck than the Gretsch or Rickenbacker. I personally think it is a fine bundle. A little pricey but well worth it in the end. if you can find guitar for cheap, I would suggest you get it if you can afford it. Seems you'd be more accustomed to the feel of them.

I go to so many music shops around the world, but I was thinking as I typed that, that it did say Hofner, Im almost sure, unless Hohner took a break from jaw harps and made a bass. It was really priced well. It was used, but in fine condition, $450, I believe. I would love a Gretsch Tennessean, but they are pricey, and I have enough playtoy clutter for one guy. I wonder why they didn't make a rockband version of the Epiphone Casino John played later.

As far as I know, the limited edition bundles are discontinued, or are in the process of running out. In the limited edition bundle, you get a mic, with special drums and Hofner controller and of course, the game. The Rickenbacker and Grestch Duo Jet are sold separately and for me, pretty hard to come by. : \

It should come with a couple of clips that snap to the two poles that support the pads. On those clips are miniature clips that snap to the wire edges of the bass head and hold it upright. Hope that helps!

From experience, I am unsure, as this is my first music game set-up. Though I have read around that the drums should work with Rock Band 2, and most likely 1 ( guessing on that one, but I dont see why not). Now GH I would imagine No, due to the fact that they have their own drum sets. Other than the oyster pearl design, the set is a normal Rock Band drum set, after all.

Of course! The guitars are the exact same control wise. They can be used to play anything. As in, you can use the Hofner to play any part and vice versa for the Gretsch and Rickenbacker. All thats different between them are their shape and style. :)

If only they utilized what GH5 did with four tracks. That would have been swell. It boggles me why they didnt, but I still think The Beatles Rock Band will smoke GH5 anyway. ;)

There are two editions. Special Bundle and Value Bundle. Special has the Hofner Bass, Oyster finish drums, mic, the game itself along with mysterious extra tidbits. The value edition has regular rock band drums and guitar with the game. I believe they are Rock band 1 edition instruments. Some may be from Rock Band 2. I fear I still want the Special Edition. Playing the game without the official styled instruments would make the gaming experience incomplete!

I don't see why they wouldn't be. Making them for the other two systems and not the Wii would be very rude to the gamers such as yourself. I am sure they have the different versions for the instruments as well. If they are USB however, then I am sure they will work with all three.

The bundle only comes with the bass, the drums, the game, and the microphone with it's stand. No word if the mics are replica's of mics from that era, but the bundle does not come with everything. The Gretsch and Rickenbacker must both be purchased separately at an apparent $100 bucks as reported by a comment below. Ouch.
