Thats so scary, Im always afraid of being fallen on! But you guys were ROCKING until that! May I use this in a falls video? (Of course you will be given credit!)
please may i use? i will put a watermark of your youtube name on the finished video and send you the link when done, and also give you a shout out in the vid description? :) if not i don't mind:)xxx
I'm not an expert, it's obvious to me this was a freak accident, and I'm very glad you and your partner are not hurt. At least it didn't seem like it. I'm only going to say that things like studs in your horses shoes may help on slippery ground like this. However I am going to give you props not freaking out. Obviously you still enjoy riding and that makes me glad.
idk im american and i dont pole bend but i do jump on grass? so whats the difference we take sharp turns.. some americans just give us bad names but posting rude crap about stuff they no nothing about.. they just need to think jumpers go just as fast and take just as sharp turns to fences so stop judging astralians because they bend on grass.. like WTF dumbest thing to piss about if you dont like it dont comment on it. its just rude. i think its just fine that they do.. faster times.
Grass or sand which is faster? Post your legal standard patterns and show us which it is. Put your money where your mouth is and prove it.
Depending on your area, the footing is what you get. Let me tell you if you do a search you will find far more horse crashing and burning in sand then grass.
@amandaandtuff (this isnt nessessarily aimed at you, but rather everyone commenting stuff about "pole bending" on grass) in Europe they do mounted games on grass.. in Australia we do sporting and gymkhanas on grass.. whats the difference? also we dont call it "pole bending" here.. just plain bending... i guess we're smart enough to notice theyre poles and dont need it pointed out to us hahahahaha
@JumpaHorsey For calling it pole bending, it's the proper name. Most just call it poles. We have other types of bending such as barrel bending (called kegs). In different regions there's different games and the same names. There's different types of flag races with the same names, ours is called texas flags.
Speed and sharp corners isn't good on grass. Grass doesn't have the grip or ability to be dragged. If grass gets wet, like morning dew, it's slippery. Grass doesn't allow good times.
@JumpaHorsey Also adding: If grass was good for safe patterns at decent times, they'd have it everywhere. There's just no way you can safely get a good time on grass. The horse needs to be able to dig and get his footing.
thts my pony and she is slipped over she always does because she hasnt got shoes on and she slipps everywhere .. she usually turns alot better she can turn just like i had she has no shoes on :/ and she isnt lame or anythign after that she was a bit stiff but loiv walked her out and she was fine and its more of the neext few days after she is sore... so i have a message person coming out to her :)
@DutchNaat they made not be made but they are trained to be able to support themselves and make the turn, it just so happens that this horse slipped, it's like a human trying to turn really tight and slipping, only it is a bit bigger of a deal because horses are more fragile but this horse seems ok, it just gets up and is able to walk away with no limp or anything
@lmurphyx21 if he was lame trust me i dont think they would have him doing that, and if he is sore then maybe he was just stiff, i dont see any sign of this horse not being able to do tight turns, and i have seen this girl ride and where she rides (from her videos) and just by seeing that it doesnt look like they would work a lame horse like that, any experienced person wouldnt
im not trying to pick and argument either im just saying, i just dont think that they did anything wrong, he just
@lmurphyx21 lost his footing and slipped, some horses do, if you watch jumpers it happens some times because their turns are so tight, it also happens in barrel racing, but it isn't often so the horses that compete in those events USUALLY are able to, but if the horse is like you said lame or sore then she definitely shouldnt but i dont think ellie looked lame or sore
:o im so glad ur ok! beatiful horse and owww! :P dont be afraid to get back on! keep ur spirits up ur a great rider!
