I've always wondered what the fascination is with harmonicas in blues. I just find them shrill. I guess they were affordable instruments for the original blues men, therefor traditional? They're still shrill. I'm not being critical, just wondering.
reading some of the comments i would like to add that all 3 musicians are great, but jack bruce is outstanding singer bass player, mouth organ player and as for eric clapton the same as jack brilliant guitarist and singer, ginger baker is a true english drumming legend and love to play drums like he does, being a drummer myself.
Cream was a huge influence in my music, and Jack was one of the people who got me interested in playing the harmonica, and i'm still playing 42 years later and always do this song when i sit in at blues jams.
The quality of the audio and video recording and level of the performances in the is concert are much better than I ever imagined! Hopefully, the younger folks will dig on this. Standards surely have been set! Thanks for the posts!
What can you say really? Here we have 3 nearly 70 yr old men playing blues in a way that would leave the majority of today's blues/rock players and bands in the dust. True, there are a few really great guitar players like Eric Johnson and Joe Bonamassa but are there any threesomes that would roughly compare to the great Cream. I don't think so. Man, listening to Jack Bruce sing and play harmonica is a revelation. And Baker and Clapton give me goosebumps. The gold standard- Cream.
Good grief, nobody watching these ? AMAZING. The BEST versions of Cream's versions of these songs. Well, I guess in days when rhyming, scratching records backwards, to the rhythm of turds bouncing off a trash can cover - well, I guess its a whole new audience. Have fun with the Ice Pee vids, kids ...

true pioneers..the artists today can't even compete with these true musicians
and a 3 man band to boot...Cream should reunite for at least 3 more albums.
