Depending on how you look at it. Citizens in Sweden have free internet, and they average something like 11mbps. Then they can get ridiculously fast internet for the same price that most places pay for average internet.

I'm in an urban area and I just recently got 20 mbps cable with package. But normal price of the would be $68 USD.

So what speed is free internet in the US? You can get it free here in Australia, but it's only something like 256/64. Probably for old people on pensions or something. And you're pretty lucky to get 20mbps. In the start of next year, the government will probably have installed FTTN in my town. Can't wait.

My work made me get a cell phone so I got a smart phone. I left that job over a year ago and only use the PDA part now, just that now I can update my feeds anywhere but use like 5 talk min/mo.
