  • Chicago band. Love em

  • I remember seeing this group in Sarasota, I feel madly in love with the lead singer. Too bad they couldn't be themselves. Their managers were idiots!!!, sorry guys

  • There is great rock and pop music in every generation. You just have to look harder for it in some generations.

  • 大好き過ぎる!

  • Reminds me of my childhood and listening to WLS-AM the top 40 radio station in Chicago

  • there were many many great American bands and songs..then.

    Now, it's crap.

  • I like the echo effect of Dennis singing along as they play the song off stage, the only way you tell the difference is the backing vocal(s) aren't as clear as they would be in an actual "live" setting, and when they stop playing, the music goes on a second longer

  • kind of a drag...

  • eh kid roc if you don't love mi L'eouff mi get it getit the roc simurgh ratite see penqiuns dictionary of symbols ancient ! hi kid roc!

  • The only good thing to come out of Chicago besides their pizza.

  • @smokiebird06 - there's also the band Chicago "Does Anybody really know what time it is?" This city had its own style like Detroit did.

  • They had several classics....whenever they come on the radio, life is good again for the next 3 minutes

  • This is a great, great song. It's very Beatlesesque, of course--but it's a better early Beatles song than the Beatles themselves ever recorded.

  • who is the one singing? whats his name? hes gonna be my background. <3

  • @criesmetosleep94 It is Dennis Tufano. He is alive and kicking it at 65. He currently does a lot of Bobby Darin oldies. He is still a hottie!

  • I was still a twinkle in my mother's eye when this came out. This is great music! Carefree, innocence.

  • Outstanding! Brings back memories of being a kid and those carefree Saturday afternoons. Thank you for posting this.

  • All Of Us Young Teenagers In The 60's Knew This Group Was "American". The Britts

Had Great Groups and Artists Also.

  • it scares me to think of great music like this slipping further and further back into history...

  • This song always had a colorfully haunting ambiance to it that's never lost its flavor, so to speak. Classic 1960's pop/rock music.

  • @Anotherway04 , I totally agree with "haunting ambience." It and other have that and you just don't hear it any more.

  • dont u care was one of our songs we played when i was still a member of the band. oh, those were the days. bobby of the philippines

  • yes today they dress too loose.Too relaxed like they at bed in home.Back in years we respected how we looked to the public.Unlike today.

  • HEY! Suits and Ties. Even with their long hair that was very groomed.

Today's groups and singers wear nothing but trash, and we now have a whole generation of people that do not even have a real name. Ice Tea, Diddy, GaGa,

    Real Sad

  • This song just takes me back to those sweet times. Love this song and love this band...!!!

  • Becci, don't you care?

  • Always loved this song. How great to be able to watch/listen to a live version!!

    Thanks so much...

  • guys where can i download the 60's video clips?

  • The singer is so dreamy hehe

  • We've got soooo much good s**t to share musically. Damn! So many groups that were great but on a different stage internationally. Love these guys, along with so many more. Let's tune in The Association next.

  • This is another terrific song by The Buckinghams. The Buckinghams in view were highly underrated.

  • One of my all time favorite songs. Every guy can relate to the gal who he wants but can not get next to! Frustration sets in. But thanks to the Buckinghams it is told. Great composition with the trademark Chicago bras and horn section. A true golden American top pop 40 hit commin' at ya!

  • One of the greatest songs...by one the greatest groups of the era...

  • @Kenny12554 Not so much there...

  • Gian an oldie but goodie. The are called the Buckinghams

  • SONG FIT ALL MY GIRLFRIENDS PERFECTLY BACK IN THE 60'S.

  • This lead singer is beautiful

  • I was Born in Buckinghamshire , England !! Beat That !!

  • SOUNDS LIKE CHICAGO WITH ALL THE HORNS! AWESOME!

  • @gil72ful they're actually from Chicago, Illinois too

  • 47 POSTS FOR RATINGS? aRE YOU PEOPLE BRAIN DEAD?

  • JUST ..WONDERFUL MEMORIES!

  • I played this song in a couple oldies bands and is one of my all time faves ! What a great group !

  • my favorite song when i was young...

  • I was a kid (ten years old) when this song came out. Instead of "Don't you care" I thought they were singing, "Go to hell", lol! I was so embarassed when it came on the radio and I was in my car with my grandpa. A couple years later I read the lyrics and realized they were singing "Don't you care"! I had a good laugh.

  • @PinkLederhosen

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was "go to hell". Imagine an eight year old thinking that. But I'd heard my big brother say it plenty of times. At the same time I thought "Hang on sloopy" was "hang on snoopy". Who didn't?

  • They sang so well live, you can hear him spot on over the dub, why did they have to lip-sync?

  • What a sweet time...we thought those days of summer would never end.

  • Vintage song!

  • Kewl Stage...First time i've ever seen the lead singer in the back.

What a Cool Song....nice melody and changes.

  • Did the host say "F*ckinghams?"

  • Brilliant vocal

  • I love this song... music is our international language. I am mexican and I really tell you that USA has the BEST music in the world, so many memories and dreams were built there.

  • @MANUELFARINELLI Well, second best Manuel. Ever heard of England? (Wink)

  • @MANUELFARINELLI 2nd best...

  • @MANUELFARINELLI Thanks, at least then we seem to have done something right in the eyes of the World. Now if we can just get our lame government to work right again, and do what the people want, we might be able to create more musical good times for everybody!

  • @TheEldoradoKid Your right. Our music is the best, and almost everything else in this country leaves something to be desired. It's nice to know that others realize that ragtime, jazz, blues, gospel, R&B, C&W, R&R and good old American "popular" (i.e., pop) music all started here in the USA.

  • @MANUELFARINELLI

This isnt band from the USA.

  • @Rao665 For your information I tell you that "The Buckinghams" are an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois... (Chicago... USA) the name was because of the so called "British Invasion" but they were from USA, read more at wikipedia if you want...

  • @MANUELFARINELLI

wow. this whole time i kept hearing "Kind of a Drag" I kept thinking it was an English band. Okay. Got me there.

  • @MANUELFARINELLI , thanks on behalf of the USA for the kudos, but actually, this group was from England which is from where - back in those days, the sixties, the best music in the world came from. Beatles, Stones, this group, and so many others - Gerry and the Pacemakers, even Davey Jones of the otherwise American group, the Monkees.

  • @Gregorius1953 thanks for the words but the "Buckinghams" are an AMERICAN rock band from Chicago USA!! search it at wikipedia if you want... I think USA has better music "MUSIC" than England.

  • @Gregorius1953 this group isn´t british!!!, this group is AMERICAN!

  • @MANUELFARINELLI

Americans are the most untalented and stupid beings in the world! Now, the British are the best musicians in the world, the Zombies, the Buckinghams, Beatles, etc... are all Brits! The british took over American music in the 60's and 70's and did it better than anyone! I'm Somali and I am saying the brits are truly talented musicians!

  • @Predental19 OK That´s what you think and I respect it, but The Buckinghams are not "Brits", they are american, please see Wikipedia, so many people misunderstand the name and they think that they are british but they are from USA, regards.

  • @MANUELFARINELLI

Ok,I know when I'm wrong! I guess Americans are good with music, but that was during the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Modern music stinks, I'd rather listen to greek folk music.

  • @Predental19 I totally agree, I LOVE American music from the past that´s why I stated that "so many dreams were built there"...I do not like current music at all no matter which country may be.

  • @Predental19 Oh, please! Just who do you think inspired groups like the Zombies et al? AMERICAN groups, that's who! Also, the Buckinghams were AMERICANS! They hail from Chicago, Illinos, so get your fact straight. The only good thing to come out of Somalia is Iman, so I won't hold an incredibily ignorant person like you against her.

  • @choosing2lookeast

You foolish Amerco nut, stop with the useless argument, and let us listen to good music. If you find music such as rap, pop, R & B, Punk, etc.. good... well then, that is your prerogative. Manuel corrected me, the Buckinghams were influenced by the brits. The only thing to come out of Somalia is Iman, LOL! That sellout, foolish, no brain possessing whore, lol. A talentless hack like that couldn't stand up to the heroes of Somalia.

  • @Predental19 *yawn* I said the only GOOD thing to come out of Somalia not the only thing. Why don't you try to learn to read you jealous moron with an obvious Anglophilic tendencies who probably isn't a truly Somalian but rather some delusional twit-brit who lives in his "mummy's basement!"

  • @choosing2lookeast

A despised traitor like that may be embraced (due to her assimilating and being a slave of western society). She is an abomination of Somalia how could she compare to the heroic general Siad Barre, or Mohammed Abdillahi Kahin 'Ogsadey a Somali business tycoon based in Ethiopia, where he established MAO Harar Horse, the first African corporation to export coffee. Or many others, you don't have to be a sellout to be successful, Ayan successful because of that

  • @Predental19 I don't really care about Iman or any of those other people. I only said it because you needed to be taken down a peg or two. You come here and slam on people so someone needed to slam you back.

  • @MANUELFARINELLI Music is the language of the world! I am African American and I love this song and this group! I listened to everyone and everybody no matter what color they were or what they sing! People need to open their mind! These songs were the bomb back then and they brought people together! I loved this song! The wods are so sad! This guy is hurting bad! LOL! I miss those old days brothers and sisters!

  • Weird. Real Vocals, fake band. Not typical.

  • this brings back sooo many memories..... I love Dennis , he is so handsome

  • I love dennis sooo handsome

  • yeah this is a major jam. I had this single and I wore it out. lol.

  • So many memories...........

  • different setup. the drummer up front and the lead singer in back. one of my favorite songs from this era.

  • Happy New Year

  • If things ever seem tough, we can remember this: 1 Corinthians 2:9 - But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Yet I still eat oatmeal, do the anti ox thing , and etc. Once I get there; will wonder 'Why did I ever do that?'

    Happy New Year

  • and my stereo still works .. speakers are Yamaha 34 yrs old... perfect. Replaced the tuner with a new one 5 yrs ago... sounded like I also got new speakers

  • @RamonaFromPomona Awesome. Televisions sets come and go, but a good stereo lasts forever. So does good music. Hey I like that song by Stevie W.

One thing I regret NOT buyng was a filter that went between the T.table and tuner/amp. Filters out the pop hiss of a vinyl. $200. Can't find one today, nore anybody who can even build one.

  • where are the horn players hiding

  • I want 1967 back!

  • @RandyBful1 LOL we made $4 or 5 an hour.

  • I want to live in this video

  • my music...my generation...best times of my life!

  • @saunders49 Me too. The world sucks now

  • This brings back the old days in Chicago to me...great song!

  • For me it was the Summer of '67. One awesome year for me.

  • This tune is O.K., I used to have this recorded on a cassett tape, but to answer their question, no one cares (for anybody) nowadays.

  • @wyecee Wrong. Over half a million believers were praying for that cop who is in a Seattle ICU after being shot by a thug.

  • Amazing to see Dennis Stefano trust the studio acoustics to sing is song. And it worked. No one else would do that. The Buck's were from Chicago and I remember many a time when they started out and sang at the Chateau Bouchet in Oak Lawn, IL in 1966. Great band and all the babes looked like the Ronettes. Sexy, tough and beautiful. Rock on guys.

  • A fine group with a remarkable couple of hits which still bring back the flavor of growing up in the Sixties. This song breathes life into the textures of the past, and the harmonies possess a kind of jazzy, moody, almost blues-like tonality of mind and spirit. While going to college, I often took the train from New Jersey to New York City. I remember meeting a girlfriend on the train and speaking for hours about groups like the Buckinghams and their music. This is memorable and lovely music

  • this song brings back my youth!

  • Philippines: It was our college Junior-Senior Prom and the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour, or was it Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, was selling like hot cakes. While me & my batchmates were dancing in a circle, my date cheered on the band saying, "Don't You Care." The band's lead vocalist shouted back, "I Don't Care!" Then, he proceeded to sing it. I eventually married my date.

  • it was jr. high for me.but i loved all the songs. i was just a young man. out there in the world; looking for romance the first time. there were alot of obsticles in my path. not the least of which was williness on her part and confidence on mine.

  • i remember high school.

  • I love this song soo much . How beautiful sound !!

  • poor quality, but these guys rock!!

    thanks!!
