Ron Paul is amazing. I've never head anyone speak like he does. I was born in 83 when Regan was president. I only know of his greatness though various documentaries and watching his amazing speeches on DVD and YouTube.

Evanescence is NOT a Christian band (this is by their own proclamation).
This song is NOT necessarily about god just because it mentions "heaven" off-hand.
In fact the overwhelming theme of that album is corruption and personal catharsis/personal revelation (regarding mental/emotional issues), coupled with her breaking up with Shawn/difficulties in relationships.
There are also direct ties in the lyrics to "Sweet Sacrifice", which is about breaking up (with Shawn).

Of course, in between elections they're asking him for his wisdom. Then when the primaries start up they start ignoring him or calling him stuff like "Dr Demento" (Michael Medved on 560 AM calls him that). I never expect Dr Paul to get the respect he deserves. It very rarely happens.

I can say I've personally convinced several people to vote for him in the primaries. The hardest people to get on board are progressives.
