Governrment 101 Congress makes laws, the president signs them into law.

What about the people who created and sponsored the bill? No one ever talks about that.

Yes Obama ultimately signed it (with a signing statement saying he wouldn't enforce it) however lets not ignore the entire process that took place before it got to his desk.

Lets also not forget how a different administration ignored law and started indefiniate detention, illegal wire tapping, & torture.

how about addressing the fact that the dollar is over valued on the world market and because of that we have no exports. On top of that we have no domestic production because we import nearly everything and the things we do make here are assembled from parts made overseas. We have no chance of any recovery or real growth in the economy until that issue is addressed.

@NoCommentChick You do have a point there. America could use a a proper Social-Democratic party (ala NDP, or even the Greens, in Canada), not necessarily as a viable "leadership", but as a balance to this 1st Quadrant, false dichotomy that is currently the only offering.

But good luck at actually getting that to happen. The structure of power is possibly too exclusive and entrenched to allow such a thing to occur.
