how old?  Ive got my son on a run bike he has been on it since his 2nd birthday. He's 2 1/2 now and the progress is unbelievable he rides trails with me. He does not pick the easiest lines either he has to roll over every rock and root, fly down every hill and look for anything that can be a jump. He has been riding inside all winter everyday and he can now coast everywhere with perfect balance. We have a small course around the house to keep him entertained till spring.
