LOL once upon a time, I wrote on my plain white tee "THRASH RULES, GLAM DROOLS", haha to be 16 again.

I do get annoyed at how the history and presence of glam metal is featured more than thrash. Yes, glam was the more mainstream of the two in the 80s but thrash is just as important. I saw a documentary on the history of heavy metal and thrash was mentoined for 3 seconds while glam was given a full 12 minutes of praise.

Whether they changed for the worse or not James IS the man! HE IS a major reason for the best things to come of metal. Not to mention a spectacular rhythm player. Playing the riffs from Masters or Justice fluently to a tee will always be a challenge to an advanced player! Playing Malmsteen licks (harmonic minor scales) fluently was LESS of a challenge. To play those Metallica riffs is one thing but to play them like Hetfield...to me was another story that I will not forget.
