I was told that there are still landmines remaining in NZ on the Desert Road, and one soldier died early 2010? trying to take a landmine out using wrong equipment. If there are no landmines, what are the explosion warning signs from NZ Army for on the Desert Road asking drivers not to stop or step out of the car in case of explosions? It's really BAD atmosphere on the Desert Road with all the army wires, etc. SO CLEAN AND GREEN-WITH LANDMINES IN BETWEEN? NZ has to become honest =CHANGE or di
@heightsgreen Well, It's not too obscure for me, but I'm an intelligent chap. Sometimes they go too far with metaphors in these ads, and you get the more stupider people (sometimes it's Americans, they don't do too well with the more weirder concepts at times, but their adverts are made a little differently, they're more obvious and "in your face") going "I don't get what the point of this ad is" - I see it a lot on a lot of my uploads.
@wuzzlevideos Actually the ads in the US for speeding are almost non existent; it's drunk driving and using cell phones while driving are the big psas.
I don't blame Ford for wanting to sue LTNZ. This ad is a blatant rip off of their BF XR6T ad, and to top it off, it shows Ford in a bad light. I'm amazed LTNZ got away with it. But that's probably becaues the NZ cops drive Commonwhores.
So I heard. I think that's a little stupid really. It's not as if anyone in their right mind would think "Oh, I'll not drive Fords anymore" - the advert is clearly meant to convey a serious message, and not meant to disparage any particular company.
These ads are getting less and less affective each year. It would be better to re-run those that were made in the mid to late 90s. The creators of those oldies obviously put a great deal of thought into those ads than just smashing cars up as it is done here.
I was of the understanding that the shock tactics of the mid to late 90s were being wound up now in favour of clever campaigns because the public were getting more used to them?
I'm not surprised, people are stupid, desensitized fucks. Not all people, but most of them. It sometimes feels like I'm in the minority & their in the majority camp. Funny, that's how it felt when I voted for John Kerry in 04 to!
Lol! Oh well, at least that's all done & over with now. Anyways, I read your other comment to. I've heard of a Ford Falcon before, so not sure why you haven't.
What a waste of car, they could have at least have used a Holden..ha..ha..ha. But is that where our rego fees are going? Buying XR6 Falcons to smash up? Unless Ford donated one of their factory evaluation (to be eventually destroyed) cars.

They should have used a car that has a poor safety rating or a unknown make of car from russia or something
random769 3 years ago
If they had done that, it would of nullified the message that this ad is trying to get across.
